    RTE reporting a case in Slovakia where a man has contracted it. He never left Bratislava.

    His son just returned from Italy but has shown no signs of it himself, thats mad!

    Yes - the hse rep said on the news today that most cases can be treated at home(assuming they least severe I’d imagine) that’s what he said, check it out on rte news now/player.

    Are they putting everyone who tests positive into hospital now - yes it would seem.

    he Czech Republic is ordering all nationals returning to the country from Italy to subject themselves to 14 days quarantine, with a fine of up to 3m Czech crowns (£102,000) for anyone who refuses to obey.

    According to guidance posted online by the ministry:

    With immediate effect all Czech citizens returning from Italy after 7 March 2020 must without delay notify their GP of the fact by telephone or other means without personal contact.

    Is that as much about isolation/keeping an eye on them as medical treatment. Be surprised if that entire Clare family needed hospital care for instance

    Dr Colin Henry, HSE clinical officer on the RTE News - advises people to move 2 metres away if another person sneezes or coughs when beside them

    So the question is - how fast would you need to move to get 2 metres away before you are plastered with snot or phlegm? - given the speed of sneezing is estimated at about 150 kilometers per hour or more -
