live moves on, if theres at least around 100 people dying of flu in likes of ireland each year never mind wordliwde, if this crap wasnt broadcasted every second on social media or tv/radio no one would blink at it. As flu is deadly not speaking about running nose for a day that most have, this crap seems to act the same maybe more harsh symptoms but well treatable.

but as we know those who have issues with mental well being will always jump to hysteria stage, which is pointless for regular folk.

That's good news : the longer the country can remain in the containment phase, the better

Every day without a new case has to be a bonus.
Yeah and hopefully with increased hygiene practices the number will remain low.

Yes, Iran have mobilised 300k troops to combat the flu, we should move on now and take our eye off the ball. Ramp paddy's day up again.

FFS why do they do this? Is it too much to ask that they just say the actual number!

Does that include the people on the plane with the lady from NI, the taxi driver and all the kids and teachers in the school? Somethings not adding up here

    No:
Not everyone in self isolation is tested.

For example the temperature resistance at 26 degrees and recommendations of drinking hot water. The body internal am temp is 37 degrees! It should never be able to infect you if that was the case.

Not that simple. It is hoped that increase in Temp and light during late Spring and Summer will bring it under control. These conditions can dry out the outer layer of the virus. Different story within the body where it is wet and warm.

    Ok rte news.
300+ tests and only one positive.
That has to be a good sign for Ireland surely?
The HSE would like to thank the Gardaí who assisted in these roadside tests.

    Numbers seem legit.

Everything adds up all right, they're testing very few as part of their contact tracing.

NHS has now declared a level four incident... the highest level possible and expecting the situation to get worse.

If I am not wrong you are only tested if you have symptoms AND you are considered a close contact of the confirmed case.
I think I saw a graph of contagion on planes and the red zone was two rows in front and tworows back, the whole file, from a sick person.

Yes, Iran have mobilised 300k troops to combat the flu,

The swiss don't have that option.
The Swiss army said that all soldiers would be confined to base after a case of the new coronavirus was discovered in their ranks.

They are sitting this one out, who would have thunk it. :)

Have you seen the recent surge in support for SF? The polls showing that they are the largest party?

There will be a united Ireland by 2030.

    Deal with it.

Grow up you idiot, this is not the thread for your stupid United Ireland ideology.

The single case is NI is recorded in the UK figures not Ireland's so there is only 1 confirmed case in Ireland.

I'd like to know how many people were turned down for testing as they didn't meet the full criteria despite having the symptoms. We won't find out what that is but that would be an interesting stat to know

I'd say their not far off shutting the country down similar to China.

All eyes on Kursk. Slava Ukraini.

I understand that it is only symptomatic people being tested.

Much more so; mostly elderly, locked up on a ship with infected fellow passengers.

I don’t know as I’m not listening in.

Was it ever mentioned how long the Belfast lady had been in Italy? Was she living there with her child and got out of dodge to be near family (I know I would) or was she on holiday? If she was on holiday - how long had she been there before leaving then testing?

Some of their preperations sounds like there directly out of that movie, the one when the Ruskies started dropping big sticks.

If there is one place you don't want to be it's perhaps Londonium (EUs busiest airport and biggest city). Remember all those riots when the cops there whacked some dodgy guy, 3 days of shut down and lads running about with 42" TVs lifted from shop windows.

I know, and that’s what I was responding to, the advise to drink hot water to kill the virus.

So, what your saying is we need to crank up our thermostats, eat salty snacks and avoid water?

Salty snacks are not advised (for folks with the high blood pressure), some Prof chap on the TV box said this new flu complicates it (high BP).

Italian region of Lombardy bought Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) respirators/ventilators.
Does the HSE have them ?

Not trying to be funny here, but would typical May/June Irish weather be warm enough to meet this threshold?
