If going with B. How about Doherty, Lucas Moura & Williams over Boly, Bergwijn & Saka

You have 2 defs, 1 mid there? For 1 def, 2 mids.

Sorry meant Soy not Saka. The maths adds up. Don’t know why I said Saka :)

Oh I see! Ah well it’s a coin flip but I like Doherty’s attacking threat.

Wildcard in play, should have done it weeks ago.

Button, Rico, Kelly, Lundstrum, Kiko, Hayden, Traore, Mane, Wood all on the chopping block. KDB & Ing may get the bullet as well, mood dependent

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,376 ✭✭✭Miley Byrne

Wildcarded this week. Got a bit anxious before the Liverpool game as I had 11 gameweek points until they semi rescued me. Not doing too badly in my private leagues. OR 188k.
No city cover. De Bruyne has been good to me but I think I’ll wing it without him for the moment
    5th/6th draft😫

    Pope (Henderson)
    Pereira TAA Lascelles (Ward Taylor)
    Bruno Salah Mané Armstrong (Dendonker)
    Vardy Jimenez Ings

You don’t get the reference? Well Holy God!

To give feedback on your team Miley, I’d be a bit worried about having Armstrong as a fourth midfielder.

Ya i have rejigged a few times and could straight swap with Snodgrass or downgrade Pereira or Vardy. Going with Vardy even though I’m ignoring the form over fixtures mantra

    Not mad on ward either

My tuppence worth Miley, you can call me Dinny.

Also on a Wildcard with a host of 0 points last gameweek. My conundrum is whether to go Mane & Salah or double Pool defence. Currently 240,000 OR and tempted to go with the double midfield. It does weaken the defence considerably though. Double pool defence looks safer option. I am going to hold KDB...I think

    —— Pope —- McCarthy

    Robbo — TAA — Doherty — Taylor — Kasabele

    Salah — KDB — Traore — Barnes — McCarthy

    ——- Vardy — Ings — Jimenez

This team leaves me with 2 mill in the bank. Could upgrade Barnes to Bruno/Martial. Could also get Perreira but not keen on 4 premium defenders

    —— Pope —- McCarthy

    Saiss — TAA — Lascalles — Taylor — Kasabele

    Salah — KDB — Mane — Barnes — McCarthy

    ——- Vardy — Ings — Jimenez

So to fit Mane the defence gets cut to alot of cheapies & TAA. Not sure which of these is better?

As it stands I’d have 6 or 7 to play in GW 31. I really want to hold free hit. Could try to get Richarlison into either of these teams but not fond of Everton’s fixtures

Meant to use my Wildcard last week.
Had a late change of heart as I hadn't activated it until Friday, so just did Aguero/Redmond to Jimi/Bergwijn.

Finished the GW on 47 -4. Disaster. Sitting at 1.6m OR.
Might aswell use it now so going to bring in some fun players as I might aswell just enjoy the last 11 Gws.

Big decision now is the Salah/Mane double up or TAA/Robertson.

    Currently sitting on:
    Pope McCarthy
    TAA Soy Saiss Lascelles Taylor
    Salah Mane Moura Snodgrass Saka
Ings Jimi Vardy (1.6m left to maybe switch to Auba)

Should I just hold Vardy and spend the Auba money?
Could also use it to get KdB in at some point.

Edit: might get Saint-maxim. Instead of Snodgrass. He seems like a laugh

I think West Ham are improving. Anderson coming back in makes them attractive. They were impressive v Liverpool.

Stick with Snodgrass. They are dangerous on set pieces. Antonio could be interesting.

Not sure on Lucas Moura either.

Not convinced on him myself, but thought I needed some Spurs cover.

Have now downgraded him to Barnes. Upgraded Lascelles to PVA. I'm on board with Mr. P :)

Been tinkering all week but think I'm sticking with:

    Pope McCarthy
    TAA Soy Saiss PVA Taylor
    Salah Mane Barnes Snodgrass Saka
    Ings Jimi Vardy

1.5m in the bank to potentially get an Arsenal attacker in next week. Vardy-Auba or Jimi-Laca both possible.

PVA and Barnes are the ones I'm not 100% on but both are fun to own and at this stage that's what I'm hoping for from the game. It's been a season of disappointment and I haven't particularly enjoyed it.
Flirted with St.Maxim for the same reason.

    Anyone I'm missing?

Don't touch Laca whatever you do, absolute poison at the moment and will lose his place to Martinelli sooner rather than later.

Vardy news is a big spanner in the works. Might downgrade to Greenwood and upgrade Saka to a premium mid

Still contemplting wildard, just had a first look to see what I can afford.
    Any thoughts on the followiing?:

    Pope (Button)

    TAA-Saiss-Cahill-CTaylor-Hanley

    Mane-Salah-KDB-Bruno-DLuiz

    Jota-Auba-Ayew

Ready to hit the button, just need some courage!

    Edit: Activated!

    Version 2

    Jimi-Auba-DCL

    1.6m in the bank.

Glad I played mine last week
Seeing a nice return out of it and banked transfer to navigate the next few weeks
In fact I have a benching headache next week as it is !

Why would you leave 1.6 ITB
Use some of it to upgrade Hanley , luiz and maybe cahill

Any reason you switched Jota to Jimi? Jota in much better form and seems to score a lot higher when he's on it. Two double digit scores in a row now. Also much cheaper. Might help you to get in Doherty in place of Saiss. Lose Hanley too, better options out there.
