I don't think so fixxxy, mainly cos of the win cons:

10. Win Conditions: Village wins if all party poopers are exiled. Party poopers win if number of party poopers equals number of villagers.

There's no Christmas/Halloween village win con. Probably designed that way as per the movie and also to sew some discontent amongst us goodies.

I don't think they are different teams necessarily but there are different groupings anyway.

I think Necro might be right though and that we probably shouldn't read too much into it as iirc this game was described as the Vanilla-ish Christmas game.
