as men are? I went to an all boys school and remember how horny the guys were given by their talk about teachers and women that passed by outside. Funny thing is, I have a few female friends and that seems not to be the case. Never hear about women talking about shagging men.

Sure some female friends of mine admire a cute guy, but I've never heard them say "I'd **** him". Is it just not a thing with women? Are men really more desperate?

Not sure this will is a real thread or not but it's interesting so I'll give it a go at a reply.
As a woman I was brought up to keep my sexual desires in check. It has never been encouraged for me to express my sexual needs or wants.
In addition, growing up in a Catholic country, I was taught that wanting sex was something I should be ashamed of. In fact women who openly express sexual desire were more like to be rapped and rightfully deserved it.
So with all that in place it's not that we don't want sex, it's a case of we are taught to keep it to ourselves and never express it out loud.
With time I learned that this should not be the case and I have gotten better at expressing it. Still not great at it though.

This country was Roman Catholic ,papal driven , priest ridden, and docterine plagued for centuries.
They had you from the cradle to the grave ,literally , and they still do. More powerful than any Government, culture, ideology, natural instinct or force. They said jump , and you said how high?
Women in this docterine (to this day!) are seen as essentially lesser being s, a conduit of evil and evil temptresses, lowly if essential vessels of reproduction. Check out Mary McCaleses work of the last few years.
If a women stepped outside or even seemed to step outside RC s accepted views she was in serious ****e. Ergo if you felt you wanted or needed a ride you sure as hell kept it to yerself.
This culture will take some time to dissipate.
There is also a more international view across religions and cultures and sexes , but predominantly on the male side, such that; sex is a proactive action by a man only, initiated by a man, and carried out by a man during penetration. In simple terms 'a man fcuks a woman, and a woman is fcuked by a man'. The female being subjucated. Which is BS of course but is reinforced by real life experiences & cultural conditioning.

Most of the time, yes. I in my mid-50’s and in the market for recently separated or divorced women from 40-50. Raw from saw to be honest. Plenty of them were in sexless marriages with Nice Mike and now want something a bit different. Some absolutely filthy women out there. Fantastic!!

Very few men are visually 'unattractive' - women may just be more likely to be initially attracted to a mix of looks and personality.
I know lots of good looking men who I wouldn't be at all attracted to.

It's interesting that the countries with the most population have the largest amount of aprhodisiacs in the food. Cinnamon, chilli, ginseng...tbh, pretty much everything in that part of the world.

I honestly think women are more randy, but there are more options and so there is more selection, but that is more due to a few different factors rather than sexual desirability. If you go to countries where the women do the pursuing, it actually leads to a case of the women being in the men's position in lots of ways.

Also, female clothing is more sexualised than male clothing and that definetly plays a role. If women were surrounded with pants that highlighted/hid a bulge, the man's tighs, and specialized gloves to show off a man's masculine hands, there would be more thinking about sex :P

It's a shame that male fashion has kind of died out lately. Now, we're telling men to dress like women (smooth skin, tight clothes, so on so forth), but they should be showing their masculinity and not estrogen features so to speak.

When women are really attracted to a guy they want sex just as much as the guy but they would also be willing to wait a few weeks or months for the right guy. Most men see a half decent looking woman and 1 second later they'd like to have sex with them.

That would point more to a thesis of women don't need to pay for it, than it would a lack of any innate horniness on their part IMO.

Honestly ...I think its both. Women are less horny whilst not being nuns though ...and don't need to pay for it.

Obviously there are some exceptions.

On the whole, no (numerous individual examples can be given to contradict this of course, but I'm only referring to the collective). As said, the dearth of male prostitutes serving women is a strong indicator of this.

That doesn't mean women *enjoy* sex less, just that our need for it isn't as urgent (I mean as a collective btw). Also clitoral discomfort can be sorted out by ourselves alone.

I don't buy the Catholic guilt thing. Sexuality is not shameful now - the opposite.
