I think crashing airlines in to sky scrapers in the name of some invisible man would not be beneficial to the environment or global warming

You really should educate yourself. The Crusades were a response to the Muslim threat.

That's the propaganda anyway. But there were numerous crusades too that couldn't rely on that phony story.

The ostensible reason for the first crusade may be played as a "rescue mission" for the Byzantine Empire. But that's just the same as Hitler saying he invaded Czechoslovakia because Hacha "asked him to". Neither excuse holds water.

The reality is that the Church had been envious of the Holy Land for many years before the first crusaders even left Europe and had been looking for a way to increase their influence in the Holy Land for nearly two centuries. Anatolia being lost to the Turks just provided a handy cover story.

But the Byzantine Empire had been in a barney with Seluq over North African and Middle Eastern territory for years. This wasn't just some new event that warranted Church action, all of a sudden.

Think of it more like 9/11 providing an excuse to invade Iraq.

Anyway despite the crusaders claiming they were going over to defend the Byzantine Christians, they ended up attacking them too.

The crusades were far more than a response to "the" Muslim threat. They were the expansion of the RC into the M.East to increase its power, to make it comparable in might to the European monarchs.
As for the ''True Faith'', England was tearing itself apart over religion and many Europeans fled to America where they then proceeded to slaughter the indigenous people in a land grab. Some people never learn that importing millions of people whose beliefs and ideologies are at polar opposites with their own is an extremely bad idea. Native American culture was almost eradicated and the same is true of the native Australian people.

Ah, yes, because the natives of America and Australia had any choice facing colonialism, and your time scale is completely out of wack. The crusades were before the English colonization of America, and subjugation of the natives. Perhaps the Spanish colonization of S.America is what you're thinking of? Even then, your time line is rather... loose.

But its more of this colonialism being incredibly "unfair". Nations expanded and conquered those less powerful than them. Look at the size of China and Russia. The Mongols slaughtered hundreds of cultures who took land from others and were then destroyed themselves. The Persians expanded and took a huge swath of land. Same with the Zulu's and other cultures. This whole white people bad is just naive rubbish. They were just more successful in a later period and maintained their scientific superiority.

Perhaps respond to what I wrote? hmm? Then you might be worth commenting on. You seem to expect people to accept your points without argument, simply repeating yourself until they're accepted.

Why would I need to? I read.

Anyway, I live in China, and VPN's are pretty much useless at the moment due to the HK situation. I'm stuck with Baidu search.

Thats only them getting warmed up for what they have in for us .

We’re lucky to be getting that warning . We would be stupid not to heed it .

They were the wrong sort of Muslim. Do you know anything at all about Islam? Do you know for example that it isn't a nice religion? It's main prophet, the guy they worship as the finest man to ever walk the planet, was a slave trading warmongering pedophile. So I have the deepest reservations about the type of individual who could follow anyone like that. Why do so many seem so blind to what Islam actually is and what it actually wants? It is a vile hateful ideology completely at odds with the modern world.

Senator Grealish has been accused of racism for querying where the 8 billion euro that's been sent from Ireland to Nigeria over the past 10 years has come from. I don't find that racist, I find it an extremely pertinent question, especially given that the issue was raised much further back than that but no answers were forthcoming. Given that the majority of Nigerians living in Ireland don't work one does have to wonder where the money is coming from and who it's going to in Nigeria.

Aldi's diverse couples crap. Randomly select a few couples, what's the chances of gay, lesbian and mixed race couples would pop up?

Dublin is rapidly becoming a ****hole with no identity outside of being 'edgy'.

It's filthy, there's **** graffiti everywhere, it's underpoliced and it's an absolute disgrace how expensive it is to live here for what you get.

I hate Dublin, as well as any 'it'll be grand' Irish person who seems perfectly happy to live in any ol' ****hole as long as they've got a 'It's not as bad as [ Country ]' to compare it to.

Always wanted to live in Dublin when I was a kid. Doing it, loving it, loads of stuff to do, more opportunities, more friends, it's expensive sure and I take your point about gentrification but I do think it has kept it's own character and it's a great place to live.

Well, I feel that their religion is incompatible with western culture. It's simply that those who are very religious would find our culture/social status to be at odds with their own beliefs as to how people should live. It's a religion that has shown in the last three decades, an alarming tendency to regress to the more hard-line beliefs which do view us as their enemy.

And just because the vast majority of those killed by ISIS were Muslims, doesn't mean that they wanted everlasting peace and prosperity with us.

    this stuff irritate me.

The fact is most people in this country are white
Most men are straight not gay
mixed race couples is not the norm

Yet look at even the rubbish on tv, remember the angelas at 6, if that is still going since I have not watched tv in about 4 months and they show all the token minorities, as if all these minorites were not minorities at all.

it seems the traditional white striaght couple is now the minority, such is the agenda.

Even the GAA adverts are trying to get in the token black people in , in an effort to basically scream, look at us, we are not racist....the same org that would not let brits play

When you have any group shoving a minority to the fore in an effort to tick some pc box, they are only showing what type of person they are and how image is more important to them.

The majority of ads aimed at couples in this country feature straight white couples.

Someone has picked up on an ad that doesn't fit the description of the majority. Not every couple in Ireland is straight and white. Not every ad has to be straight and white either. Without having researched it, I'd suspect that Aldi have run more ads with straight white couples in Ireland than without. The majority of ads in this country absolutely represents the likeness/sexual preferences of the majority, that doesn't mean once in a while a company can't throw those of us who don't fit that stereotype a bone.

It's only noticeable because most ads represent the majority.

I've never understood the appeal of Aldi, it's like the poor man's Lidl. I've been in twice and never bought anything. As for all the ''diversity'' it's just identity politics bs and it's starting to eat itself now. The lesbians are pissed that the gays get more airtime than they do. The lesbians are pissed that they are vilified for refusing to date men who claim to identify as women. The feminists are pissed that they are demonised for refusing to accept the push to give more rights to men who identify as women than to actual women. The gays are pissed at there being so many mixed race couples on TV when they claim that there are far more LGBTQ people in Britain than there are mixed race couples.

I haven't bought McCain oven chips since they got woke and tried to squeeze in just about every single possible demographic. I don't care about people's colour or religion or sexual orientation etc, I do care that it's rammed down my throat. Still, I think Tesco were the biggest offender last year when they tried to get people to believe the Muslim people in their Ad celebrated Christmas. Who cares? Nobody really, but if anything I think more and more people switch brands when an agenda is pushed rather than buy a product because it's woke. We don't buy Gillette and we don't buy McCain anymore.

I have not been in an aldi or lidl in over 6 years, or a tesco or dunnes for that matter, leave all that to the wife.
dont have a facebook account, instagram, nor a mobile phone, dont play computer games, and the tv is only turned on for netflix and nothing else.

I go online to check news, post on forums, and watch streams, but other than that most things would bore me so tend to avoid all things that I dont like.

Pity I can not block out most of the people I meet in real life as well :D

It doesn't really work with any highly addictive substance. It's and idiotic point of view and the one that every addict takes on their way.
