I bought a trolley token that clips to your keys in Tesco. It doesn't work in Tesco trollies.

Were they not saying they wanted to protect him from the media though? And frankly would you blame them?

Don't the small Tesco trolleys take €1 and the big ones take €2?

That looks like a normal way to hold a child that young to me. How old is he now? He looks young enough there that his head is still flopping about the place occasionally unless you have a hand to support him.

No, the big trolley takes €1. TA that I had to go inside and get change of €20 so I could get a trolley

My local Tsescl trolleys also work with 20c and other coins.

Keys with a rounded top also work in most trolleys.

People who just refuse to pronounce other people's names correctly, or learn how to pronounce them. In a recurring meeting where a London lad insists on Sore-sha instead of Sorcha, no matter how many times everyone else says her name correctly. I get that most people won't get Irish names right the first couple of times, but this seems to be willful ignorance.

I repeatedly have people spell my name wrong when replying to my emails despite me always signing off with my name.

"Our adopted dog, Hans, lives with us...."
75% of that sentence is just so...unnecessary?!
It'd be enough to state you own a dog. Maybe "adopted" is 'Strayan or American for "rescue" but even so...and of course your dog fecking lives with you!!!

I ĶNOW. So irritating and I don't have a rare first name. I'd hate to see them grapple with my middle name though.8 letters in an unusual configuration to get wrong.

I was introduced to some poor bastid called Rourke recently. Mind you it does sound porn star ish and he is a gay porn star. No I did not meet him in a professional capacity. Nominative determinism?

When you attend a pub quiz in a local bar, and one of the categories is local history within the county. Two questions in the category are two significant things that happened in the 1980s and 1990s. One was a memorable disaster event in the town before my time but I knew when it happened, there is even a giant plaque on a wall at the site where it happened. The other correct answer I knew as certain knowledge in my mind from childhood. I knew I was spot on. They wanted the year of both events, correct answers, disaster: 1985, and the other incident which wasn't a disaster:1998

Quizmaster answers: 1987 and 1997. Ugh!!!

The questions and answers were read out by a "quizmaster" a young one from across the pond and the latter age of the millennial generation, not even knowing a lot of the lingo on the quiz itself and the two significant enough questions that might have got us up fairly in the quiz.

If our team came 4th or 5th or whatever, fair enough, but do your research for f**k sake, no point having a quiz using bogus information!

I had a quiz question: "According to the Christmas song; On the sixth day of Christmas what did my true love get for me?"

Now of course everyone wrote "6 geese a laying". But that's wrong.
The correct answer is "6 geese a laying, 5 gold rings, 4 turtle doves, 3 etc..etc..."

I argued, and I got a bonus point for my pedantry, but it's in the song lads.

    Exactly.
I write quiz questions occasionally and I always try to use questions that can have only one answer. Even so, there's always the one loudmouthed know-it-all who'll argue ad infinitum that the answer is incorrect.

Co-worker has the weirdest habit of silently mouthing everything you say while you talk to her. It's as if she has to repeat everything in her own head, and mouth out the words as she does so.

It's not a language barrier thing or that she has difficulty absorbing information, it's just this bizarre quirk. Drives me mental!

RTE news reporting that some of the Late Late Show guests have been revealed. Shut up - this is not news.

Drove to the park to bring the dog for a walk and only realised once parked and while he was going balloobas beside me that I forgot to bring the lead. Also I ordered a duvet cover online and it came without pillow cases. Just checked there and they’re sold separately for €10 each! Fine chance

Most of the guests on the LLS seem to be other RTE employees.
It would be a TA but I have not watched a full episode since 1996.
