Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

In case some are unaware Greenwood holders might have more interest in a straight swap for a certain Irish teen.

Have 2 FTs and will wait. Might be time to move Pukki on

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,353 ✭✭✭Porthallian

    Salah to Sterling maybe

    McNeill to Maddison
Might hold the other one for now and play cantwell away to Bournemouth .......

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,520 ✭✭✭✭dsmythy

    I've many choices....

Normally you'd keep players for a game against Bournemouth but Norwich seem straight up dried up.

Anyone worth considering as a straight swap for Pukki?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,483 ✭✭✭macraignil

Was going to go Barnes to Vardy with the money built up in the bank from last few transfers but since Norwich seem to have fallen apart I've switched to Pukki to Vardy as it will give me .4mill in the bank to make another small upgrade somewhere else next week. Burnley still seem to be going well even with Barnes not scoring so I think he could have a better chance of coming into a scoring run again. Also seen Pukki sales are increasing so value is bound to drop over the international break and just seems to make sense to cash out now.

    Wesley?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Thinking about Pukki alternatives tonight myself as I'm reading he's likely to drop in price tonight. I've got Wesley already but I'd caution his fixtures are bad after GW 9: Man City away and then Liverpool at home.

The three I'm thinking of who I can afford are Haller, Jimenez and Maupay. Haller and Maupay have promising fixtures and form. Jimenez has some decent fixtures too but is lacking in the form department.

Wesley and Haller on my potential list but I won't rush into it

Jimi? Their fixtures turn after tomorrow, he’s down to 7.2 so not a huge stretch to get him in

He’s at 87.6, a blank tomorrow could see him drop to 7.1

It has to be Wilson if you have the cash. He has Norwich at home next then Watford.

Pukki party over, might have to part with Son also to get Auba up top

Salah and Barnes to Maddison and Auba is probably what I'll do with my two FTs. Will probably have to do it fairly soon as prices are likely to change, particularly if Auba scores tomorrow.

    Son and Pukki out

    Few candidates for the Ins
    - Maddision, Martial, CHO
    - Vardy, Wilson

    - Vardy, Wilson

    Martial plays for man united
The same man united who are averaging a goal a game since March
    Avoid like the spurs

    Also he is injured
And will be again within a few weeks of getting fit
    Or “ill”

Any suggestions for a Yerry Mina replacement.

5.5 mill ITB with him gone

    Thanks!

Yeah he's a bit of a nightmare alright. Bringing in two Leicester seems like overkill as well though, they aren't actually that good

C.Wilson in for Pukki, most likely.

If it wasn't for the international break I'd agree, just can't see him starting after the travelling

Pukki due to drop tonite if that matters to anyone transferring him out

And the fact he is in a dysfunctional squad
There is no reason to keep him at that price

I can't bring myself to sell Son home to Watford. Pooch might be gone by then. Although I think it's more to do with a split with the players more than the manager from what I read

You are showing highlights of man city against Watford under their old manager to argue in favor of bringing in Son ???????

    Form over fixtures
    Spurs are toxic

I said this before this weeks deadline too but people ignored it and brought son in and captained him and were suprised at the outcome

    As it stands right now
Avoid all spurs and man united players
I don’t care who they are playing

    Again
Before this weekends fixtures when they faced the might of Brighton and Newcastle I said the same

There is far far far better value in midfield than 9.5 on a spurs mid

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,589 ✭✭✭patmac

Might dump Auba for Cilson and take a hit to get KDB in for Mahrezif he’s fit.

We will be buying Watford defenders for GW 12 and maybe even before that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

I've decided not to sell Pukki as it feels a bit knee-jerk to me. He's the fourth top scorer in the league and is next playing a Bournemouth side that have given up the fourth most chances. Very possible he gets on the scoresheet in that one and rewards those who kept the faith. I don't think his underlying stats are too bad either: two shots and three key passes against Villa.

It's him and the team's away form that's the problem I believe.

Pukki dropped in value last night,I got rid for Vardy who rose in value. I normally don't do early transfers before international games but had to due to the price changes.
    Salah also out for Mane.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,022 ✭✭✭✭Iused2likebusts

2 FTs think I'll be getting wilson with one of them. Seriously considering selling salah aswell.

You said there's no reason to keep Son.

Watford played Spurs next. I showed the highlights of the last time Watford played a team with a decent attack.

I know there's rumours on Whatsapp about Christian Eriksens wife (he's not married btw). I know Spurs have had an awful week, but they're a team who put 4 past Palace a few weeks back, playing a team who conceded 8 a few weeks back.

You're obviously not gonna be buying him, I'm just giving the poster the argument for keeping Son for another week.

Whats people's opinion Matt Longstaff for Newcastle and Aaron Connolly for Brighton?? Both very cheap, look to be starting and had great games.

I'd say the opposite tbh, buying Pukki was knee-jerk imo. Despite one shock win, Norwich are a poor team there is a reason that they are second bottom. They might get plaudits for some glorious defeats which is papering over cracks and is useless to them. They are conceding too many, worst defence in the league, and need to address that to have any hope of staying up. Pukki may pick up a few goals along the way but not enough to justify keeping him when there are other good options at similar price.
