Are we being conditioned to be afraid of the weather?

Just wondering will it be bad enough for the electricity to cut out?

    Update
Southwesterly winds veering westerly will reach mean speeds 65 to 80km/h with gusts generally of 100 to 130km/h, higher in some coastal regions.
Storm surges will produce coastal flooding and damage.
    Valid: Thursday 03 October 2019 18:00 to Friday 04 October 2019 06:00

Status Yellow - Wind warning for Leitrim and Sligo

West veering northwest winds of mean speeds of 50 to 65km/h with gusts of 90 to 100km/h.
    Valid: Thursday 03 October 2019 18:00 to Friday 04 October 2019 06:00

That’s the time period the warning lasts for, I’m talking about when wind peaks

Is anything happening in Dublin? Seems like absolutely nothing different than a usual Thursday.

Anyone know if the wind speed shown on met.ie is in km?

I typed in my location in North Donegal and it's saying 22 this evening.

Saturday is going to be 24!

Doubtful at present. My Sky normally goes first too (no satellite signal being received on screen) and its working flawless all evening here in Tralee.

I heard Radio Kerry say the worst of it will be between 12:00am - 3:00am though.

I see Theresa has lost the hat. Going for full hair saturation for dramatic effect, except her hair is barely damp.
