Stumbled upon "Safety Not Guaranteed". I personally love Jake Johnson (Nick, New Girl), along with Aubrey Plaza and Mark Duplass, with the latter being bloody brilliant in this movie. A good watch. If you like The Office or Parks and Rec, you'll love this.

Roadhouse is on Netflix...watched it 4 times already....wish casino and donnie brasco were added.

James McAster standup series is one of the funniest things ive seen. Love Uncle and Toast of London.

Favourite thing at the moment is Derek. Not for everyone but the funniest and poignant tv I have seen.

The Ben Affleck film, live by night is such a bad film, avoid at all costs. He also looks extremely weird in it, his face has undergone extreme plastic surgery.

Awful awful movie. Sienna Miller's Irish accent is atrocious.

Just finished Mindhunter S2, really enjoyed it. Overall a great two seasons of TV.

Just wondering if there's anything else like it on Netflix? Thanks

    Didn't Netflix's algorithm not help you out?:P

Depends on what you liked about it- some people on this thread thought it was boring. What were the elements that tickled your fancy that could aid suggestions?

Manhunt Unabomber is excellent imo. Also fairly similar in style to Mindhunter.

I enjoyed the style of the show, I also liked the way their work mirrored some of the happenings in Tench's personal life.

I'll check the Netflix suggestions, just thought I'd ask here as there's been a lot of good recommendations reading through the thread 😊

Are you serious? I was only messing!:D
Recommendations are notoriously dodgy, with humans as much as computers, but if you like a slow-burner series- evocative of the time- involving a serial killer(s), I loved The Alienist.

Yep this is prob as close as you will get to Mindhunter

The Hangman, starring Al Pacino, is rubbish. One to avoid.

Ah I got you were joking 😀

Just checked the Alienist there and I think I'll be putting that on the watch list, thanks.

Due to return in 2020 with A manhunt begins for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics bomber

I'm a huge Manhunter fan, but I hated The Alienist. Great premise, and some decent production values, acting etc, but just so damned clichéd. Inconsistent pacing too.

I unfortunately saw it in the cinema. I really liked his previous films so thought this would be good.
Couldn’t believe how sh*t it was.

Thanks to everyone here who flagged up Money Heist. After ignoring it because of the silly title (the original Spanish title is so much better) we're thoroughly enjoying this. I really want to see the actor playing Berlin in a Bond villain role.

Thanks for posting this just finished it yesterday it really is excellent

Away this weekend so won't get to watch Dark Crystal until Sunday. Thought it was going to be half hour episodes, but they're between 46 and 61 minutes. Looking forward to it

Watched ep 1 and it was very good. Good for the kids (but maybe scary if very little) with a solid fantasy story for the grownups.

I'm disappointed to hear this as I really enjoyed the Denis Lehane book that it was adapted from. It's the second book in a trilogy. As I was reading them I really thought they had the makings of good movies. Pity Affleck botched the job.

Affleck going back to the well after Gone Baby Gone revived his career.

Honestly Live by Night is far too long a book to adapt into a single film. Better suited to a series. The Given Day would make a better film too.

Yeah I preferred The Given Day too. A series would have been a better vehicle for them alright.
