Some good local derbys there. Hard to see past Ballygunner and De La Salle but ya never knw. Lismore vs Mount Sion could be interesting as would Abbeyside vs Dungarvan all hot and cold teams

We were very close in 92. Under 21 winners v Offaly, but a 6 point defeat for the minors v galway. Good times.

It was a shame that Clonea had a man sent off seconds before the half time whistle. Good penalty save from Iggy too. Two first half moments that changed the game really.

I thought Aussie looked a lot slimmer? Hit some nice scores including two sidelines from near half way and a free from nearly at his own 45.

Ballygunner vs Passage- Sat 31st Aug Walsh Park 3pm (Adult €10/Student/OAP €8)

DLS vs Roanmore- Sun 1st Sep Walsh Park 1.30pm (Adult €10/Student/OAP €8)

Mount Sion vs Lismore Sun 1st Sep 6pm Fraher Field
Abbeyside vs Dungarvan Sun 1st Sep 7.30pm Fraher Field
    (Adult €15/Student/OAP €10)

Would it not been better to have a double header Saturday ??

They wouldn’t want games clashing with the All Ireland football final

Ah yeah but the smart thing would of been to put the DLS vs Roanmore match on the same day as the BG vs Passage one and then have the double header in Fraher Field Sunday night

Aussie had food poisoning all day Saturday. Was close to not playing.

Some interesting games on next weekend. Presumably Ballygunner and DLS will prove too strong for Passage and Roanmore but the other 2 seem to be hard to call.
The local derby between Tallow and Ballyduff again will be tight but will FMW be too strong for Clonea?

Maybe the new manager will be attendance aswell!

Anthony Daly talking up Liam Cahill for the Waterford job in his examiner column today. Seems an impressive manager so far, with his achievements with underage in tipp

interesting but would he be respected ???. The Tipp gig wont be available for a while

heard rumours of Peter Quelly/Tony Browne combo

Hopefully we will know the full story of what happend this summer soon (on a podcast interview etc). Some players refused to go back in 2020 if Fanning was still in charage. Anyway its over now

Don't think Liam Cahill would have any interest in that gig. Heard he is taking a break, he has the Tipp job as soon as Sheedy goes and why would he risk damaging his reputation when he'll be in a great position with fantastic young talent he's produced in his own County in max two years time?

Big step down from considering himself for the Waterford job again to taking over the Laois minors!

Part time gig compared to a senior job and prob getting a nice premium for it

Does that equate to use of a car for the year plus expenses?

Whatever he's getting fair play to him. Only fool would turn down good money to train a team and anyone on here that says otherwise is lying to themselves.

Good things happening in Laois hurling underage. They have a serious minor group next year and obviously want to give them every chance of success.

Mount Sion have won at least one senior hurling title every decade since they were founded in the 1930s. Proud record could come to an end this weekend!
