    Jesus lads.

I don't know how some people manage to leave the house in the morning, if the word 'cis' is this upsetting to you. What exactly are you so afraid of?

Why have you quoted me there, I never mentioned "cis" anything?

You also cropped my post unnecessarily, all I said to be fair was that men dressing as women is a pet peeve of mine and acknowledged that it could well be a case of me being narrow minded. Everyone has pet peeves, some more rational than others I'm sure, but as I said I find it very weird

I fear nothing more than fear itself

    Also didn't mention cis myself

    I am LORDE YAYAYA

Ah - it was such a great film. Robin Williams would break your heart with his sad faces, but crack you up with his everything else. Good times before this cis nonsense.

I would also suggest that we make more of an effort to reflect and search out potential issues before finding something funny. No one should be in that much of a hurry to laugh.

If we put you in charge of that, would it keep you too busy to start stupid threads like this one?

He attacked Mrs Doubtfire with a tennis racket, and violent words

If you used the term 'normal' to differentiate between gay people and straight people, most people would regard you (and those who thanked your post) as a homophobic bigot.

Your post makes no sense because he didn’t use the term “normal” to differentiate between gay people and normal people, I mean straight people.

No, but that's the road we're heading down with all the lunacy these days.

If that's the persecution fantasy you enjoy role-playing, have at it. If you identify as a victim, then I respect your right to feel that way.

I wouldnt worry about Mrs Doubtfire its an old movie.

Brendan O'Carroll must have took a page from Robin Williams book.

Seems a good time to throw this up.

Apologies if I’m missing something but it seems to me (in my sleepy state) that mrs g has not referred to gays as being abnormal.
Im happy to be proven wrong if you can quote his/her post.
So you just said something along the lines of, if you said such and such, which you didn’t actually say, but if you did, you would be considered a homophobic bigot.

    The ability to read.

    The ability to read.
I haven’t read the entire thread. Why can’t you just quote the bigotry for me and make it easy for someone who lacks the ability to read?

So, OP, what do you feel about 'Tootsie'?

Funnily enough I was only thinking about one aspect of this film which probably wouldn't pass the speech police numpties these days.

It was in the phone application section where Williams is doing an impression of an immigrant who can't speak English, which obviously doesn't go down well with the mother. That probably would be considered racist now or some rubbish like that!

What I had forgotten about that section was something even more triggering. Williams speaks about the sex of the children, and that he couldn't look after the boy because she (impersonating a woman) used to be a man. Again the mother was not keen on that. Transphobe!

Unlike Mrs doubtfire ( God be good to Robin Williams), you know what isn't funny?

That thousands of tax euro goes into paying some academic to fill young minds with the sh1te put to page in the OP

Human evolution has been trundling along for tens, hundreds of thousands of years...nothing much happening...and then BOOM...at the start of the 21st century it branches out into 58 different genders.

Last time something like this happened was the Cambrian explosion, 500 million years ago. But it took 30 million years to gather pace.

    Mother nature is pretty amazing.

Steady on, it was fine. Nothing more.

Hilarious but just to be clear. You are unable to find and quote any bigoted comments?

Its blatantly obvious that this is a trollish thread intended to goad a reaction...

...and judging by all the posts, it worked.

If the OP thinks that Mrs Doubtfire could be problematic...

They will blow a gasket if they rewatch Ace Ventura :P

The rush to infer an "ism" or insult where none is implied, is tiresome.
Have we learned nothing from the movements of new cultural norms and their drive to edit art and history?

Are we to support a new iconoclasm?
But rather than religious imagery, we know devalue, debase and destroy anything that might be "offensive"?

    Thought police numpties. Groan

I can't understand the desire to cast yourself as the oppressed minority victim. This thread shows you're in the overwhelming majority by not having a problem with the film.

Earlier a poster role played a society where people are thrown in prison if they font agree with transgenderism.

The desire to pretend to be oppressed and outnumbered is interesting though. A couple of posters expressed a problem with the film and you maintain the victim stance in spite of the vast majority saying they're fine with it. It comes down to throwing a hissy fit because some, somewhere holds a different opinion you.

    That's a bit fragile, isn't it?

To be honest there's people out there somewhere who believe what the op said and these people wherever they live are terrible people

Yeah, how anyone can take the "penis" line near the end of the OP seriously, I don't know. It's pathetic trolling, and I have added him or her to my ignore list. It's amazing how much more civilised this place gets when you lock the loons, cranks and trolls away.
