Don't know about that. I thought they might rest one or two after the long trip to Istanbul. Now I think Klopp might play his strongest possible defence and drill into them that they must be at the top of their game to protect Kelleher. I think this might actually be the incident that gets them focused because they haven't been for preseason or game week 1.

Of course come 9am Saturday I will probably still sell one of Robertson or VVD.

Andy Lonergan will play and he's probably a Championship/League One standard keeper so it's not good news.

Where's your source saying Kelleher is injured?

He's coming back from injury. Not 100% fit yet.

What are people’s thoughts on selling Vardy and Jimenez to bring in Pukki and Kane. As things stand I have exactly enough to do this. Would you:

    A) Leave things as they are without Kane (I have Salah and Sterling in the squad)
    B) Make both transfers this week in case Kane goes up in price (would be a -4)
    C) Bank the transfer and make both changes next week and hope the prices don’t increase
    D) Do something completely different as my ideas are terrible

Do you only want to make these changes because Kane and Pukki scored last weekend? You're basing this decision to take a hit on the evidence of only one week, whereas last week you felt Jimi and Vardy was a better option. It feels like a kneejerk to me and I'd bank.

Disclaimer: I also have Salah and Sterling, no Kane, and am banking.

If you really want to do this, why not bring in Pukki this week and Kane next? Pukki is much more likely to go up this week than Kane. Kane has a very tough game this week so not worth captaining, he is defo captain material for GW3 so get him in for then.

I don’t especially want Pukki but need an extra €1m to afford the swap of Vardy to Kane, swapping Jimenez our for Pukki gives me the funds I need. I would usually wait until September to bring in Kane because of his slow starts but I’m afraid if I don’t bring him in and him continues to score I won’t be able to afford him

    Best midfield choice for 5.5?
    Already have Dendonker

    Thinking Kante..
    Thanks

    Kante is 5m though?

McGinn has decent fixtures, Neves an option as well but you have Wolves cover. Henderson has been playing higher up the last few games and arriving into the box for pull backs more often. Ceballos will be an option in a few weeks.

I think that a tad early to dump Perez, I know they have Chelsea next but that Chelsea backline will give you plenty of opportunities

i agree. also Iwobi is not guaranteed to start this week whereas Perez is. I was also looking at Iwobi instead of Perez but will wait a week or so

Is Perez guaranteed? Leicester have a lot of options in the role off from vardy.

Moreso than iwobi...I just don't like Marco Silva teams...consistently inconsistent

Ok agreed about Silva and loving rotations of players just didn't think Perez was guaranteed unlike say Madisson or vardy for example.

Do we transfer out Kane for Aubameyang just for this week?? Can’t pick a captain after that super cup.

Wouldn't transfer him in and whilst he might play against city long term he is likely to be rotated. Son / moura / dele / eriksen / lo celso / Sessengon and lamela all fighting for three places

    decisions, decisions...

Henderson seems to be given the license to go forward the most of the midfield 3. This actually happened towards the end of last season as well.

He had two good chances in the first two games (can't remember if he did in the super cup) arriving late at the edge of the box for the cut back. If anything Mane coming back will give him more chances.

Klopp has also said that Liverpool are going to play a higher defensive line this season now that VAR should get the offside decisions right. This will mean a higher starting line for the midfield as a result.

He's unlikely to see much rotation out of the team at the minute as well seeing as Kieta has pick up muscle strain and Ox is only building up match fitness.

I wouldn't be picking him if Liverpool had Alisson in goal as the front three and back four would outscore him. But without Alisson I think we'll concede a few and won't be picking up many clean sheet points.

Because he didn't score has a possibly hard game and was subbed. All of which is nonsense since it's been just 1 week.

You can do it and reverse it back for the next game week, I think most people will try to get kane in for 3rd game week, no harm in keeping him though, man city could concede, if spurs get an opportunity.

Kane to Auba move abandoned so transfer banked for what will likely be the only time this season.

    Banking

2 trannys next week - get rid of Lamela and someone, possibly Kane, PEA or Vardy for some Man City coverage.

    McGinn not far behind

lads what palace 4.5 defender is most likely to keep their place for the season? want to do Kelly to Dann or Ward

What are people doing with Trossard? Holding?

I see he's unlikely to start again today.

Thinking of getting in Mount or Grealish

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,509 ✭✭✭VW 1

Just Perez to Martial this week. Not kneejerking on Perez, had planned to hold, but Martial playing up front and motivated last week leads me to believe he is excellent value at 7.6, if he remains the same in terms of attitude he will be a season keeper.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,685 ✭✭✭sheroman01

Really want to bring Auba in for Kane but I know it's best to hold. With my two FTs I can possibly sort out my double pool defence too.

If it's only for this GW it'll take 2 transfers so it's almost an 8 points hit (especially if you have other parts of your team that you think need fixing/readjustment). So Auba will have to get an exceptional return to make it worth. That's possible but Burnley is more than a decent side.

    Might bring in Zaha so

Actually martial and Kelly in for Anderson and Zouma looks better

Might pay off. Joelington has to get his hattrick from someone's passes.
