Permabear left quite an impression apparently, at least according to this thread.

I got my first and so far only infraction because I called out his shít in a post in quite harsh words, shortly afterwards he quit boards and got all his posts deleted.

I accepted the infraction because my behaviour was against the rules, but I still don't regret it and I'm glad he's gone, because he popped up everywhere to spread his "lifestyle".

Anyway, some time ago I was wondering where LadyMacbeth has gone. I liked her sense of humour, but I remember she was very ill. Hope she is fine.

Monkeyfudge and Will would be among mine. Both very sound guys and bloody good mods with it. None of the "respect my authoritaaaay" bollocks that a small few, but a few too damn many had and have. Monkeyfudge did quite a bit outside Boards to promote the place in the real world too. That was a thing more in play in the past when the community thing was a thing.

Had to look at this for nostalgia, few names there that I do remember that I miss now like Dudess, tbh and Marksie.

Pighead used to make me laugh a lot in his posts, the man had a gift.

Miss the board beers too, I had about 2 years where I went to a lot of them but then kids and work and everything hit all at once and it seemed very hard to get to them....might make a big effort for the next one I can do.

Yeah pretty sure he came from Kildare! I can still remember the audio, the moment when the realisation hit and yer man knew he’d been had and knew it was by bubbles! And bubbles there putting on the fakest women’s voice. Gas. (Not on the poor fella obviously).

Coolsmileygirl and Kiera were two big personalities in AH back in the day. There always seemed to be a lot of drama around them, but they were entertaining.

The guy got a taxi the whole way into the quays from Kildare (I think). When he got to the place where arranged, he rang “the girl” (bubbles) who just laughed into the phone. Then you heard the realisation hit, he knew it was bubbles pretty much straight away. Audio was posted on AH within minutes of the call!
