Should be 8/9 up. Great showing in that first half just a pity they didn't have a few more points of n the scoreboard.

Fcuking delighted, the tackling was superb today and won us the game. Never write them lads off, they always seem to bounce back. :)

this team can do anything. The mix of youth and experience is unreal. Written off by everyone, this team constantly deliver. AOS is an absolute warrior, 1-15 can fault them. Andy excellent, Fionn, Carr the same. Seamie adding that bit of bottle in MF and Leeroy being a tiger as usual,MC with a vital score. Bring on the Dubs,, Maigh Eo Abu!

    Really enjoyed that.

Imagine the trimming we'd have dished out if they hadn't Rochford's inside information!

Should have trimmed them, but of course being Mayo had to give them some hope. I'll take the 4 points. We're not dead yet.

Please be Dublin in the semi

I'd have seamie and Aiden starting again. Keep Mattie in reserve.

Delighted that the team proved the likes of me wrong.

Listened to the podcast earlier today and Billy Joe said they needed 55 minutes performing at the top of their game to win this

That is what they did. They got stuck in, dug deep, worked hard, just like we have been privileged to see them do for years now.

Pity about Doherty's injury, does not look good.

I have to say I was delighted not to be fretting over each and every kickout.

    Great win!!!:D

    Not sure about that.

Donegal left a heck of a lot behind them in the second half.

Thought Gough did us no favours.

    Was it a penalty?

It didn't look like it from my vantage point.

    Gough was rubbish.

They left several point behind in the second half but I counted at least 1-4 that we left behind in tbr first half. And then we missed another great goal chance in the second half. It should have been a much bigger lead going into half time.

Some horrific refereeing out there. Really gave Donegal a foothold early in the second half

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,198 ✭✭✭PressRun

    Gough was rubbish.

He's a ref who likes to let things "flow", but he seemed to be finding it hard to control the game at times. Was blowing it up for things that seemed innocuous and then letting harder tackles go.

Listen, i hate complaining about refs. Too many people just watch games so they can complain about fouls and "dirty" players and refs, and never seem to just watch the game for the football. Gaelic football is a physical game and you'd swear the way people go on that they won't be happy till its a no contact sport.

There was some hard tackling today, some of it probably over the line, but I dont know about you, but I want to see strong physical battles in football and I dont want finicky refs.

Gough made some wrong calls but I'll take a ref who gets some decisions wrong if it's in the interest of letting games flow than a ref who's going to blow it up every 5 minutes

Murphy out cute-whored Keegan for the penalty. Don't think it was a penalty as Murphy started it by grabbing Keegan, but wouldn't blame the ref for giving it either, it looked like one.

Thought Gough gave them plenty but it's completely ridiculous to expect one man in the middle to control some games.

Donegal were as wasteful as I've seen in a long time and we weren't far behind. Really basic stuff but Moran and Keegan have to be drilling it low/along the ground when in on goal.

It was a penalty all day long! If it was the other way round mayo supporters would be screaming penalty! Be honest

He's a very lazy ref. Giving decisions 30 yards from play. He was piss poor today

Super win today. Never say die, excellent tackling, workrate. Defence much better and everyone pitched in to win breaking balls in the middle. If Mayo get a foothold on kickouts, they become a dangerous force. Can I just reiterate how unfair it is on amateur players to have just a weeks turnaround to an all Ireland semi final...the GAA need to change their fixture structure to be fairer on their players.

Not at all, he did as planned and kicked beyond the Donegal press and we did win most of the 50-50 balls
