Cillian O'Connor has been awful. Wasting so many chances.

Cillian having a terrible game so far.

You are a bit entrenched in your Dublin position but they are not the worst offenders , its apparent the GAA hope that organically over time the game will rectify itself but this position may be proved wrong.

I’m pointing out that a team played excellent football. If that’s entrenched so be it.

Newman going off could be a blessing

Meath competing well, need to take more of their chances though it must be said. They’re defending ferociously. Some heroic blocks to save certain points. Still feel Mayo have the extra couple of gears should they need it, but we’ve a great contest on the go here.

Not just him.the game should have been over with the chances we had in the last 15. The game has had very little quality.

Mayo can blame seriously poor finishing here for only going in level, they have been seriously dominant but lost their shooting boots in the last ten. Should be about three points up.

This is awful stuff. If these two are top 8 sides, football is in a very dire state

Meath's wide count and overturned ball has been shocking. They could be 5 down if Mayo were up to anything.

Yeah, he was very poor up until then.

^ this, I think everyone watching AND playing will be rubbing their eyes looking at the scoreboard considering the Mayo, dominance.

Poor quality error ridden contest. Can't get over the lack of pace and intensity to this game. Meath losing Newman is a massive blow to Meath. Better Mayo bench will probably be the difference here

16 steps for that Boland point. Not too bad.

    Ref maybe playing advantage?

Watched it on the replay - nothing in it imo.

Perhaps, I’m just being critical of our friend on commentary ;)

Very Very easy free for Meath and then brought in by the ref, may as well have taken it himself:rolleyes:

Mayo forwards gone AWOL since they played Galway.

    Which year?

Ref pretty much wants a non contact game.

Quality really bad from both teams in this game.

Has the 'steps' rule been utterly abandoned? :)

Meath ‘antics’ and anti football again making them as dis likable as some of their 90s team, would like to see the ref clamping down on stuff like pulling the ball out of the Mayo free takers hands not to mention the cynical fouling.
