What a point, Meath in rugby tackle mode and the quality of Mayo comes to the fore still. Ref needs cards out though

    Two very average teams.

Sure that’s the advantage rule in GAA.

He never indicated any advantage until the ball had gone wide.

Anyway the right decision was made, he was taken out off the ball.

Meath starting to fall away - that goal finishes it

Dropping the ball actually helped there !

Donegal will dispatch of Mayo handy enough I’d say.

    .... and off it goes.

The fact some of these poor teams can get into this by beating maybe one poor team makes the whole Super 8s pointless.
Every year as things are you'll have some poor teams in it.

Bit of daylight now. Meath just stopped. Completely fell asleep

Mayo need to get the rest of the squad back and some midfielders to stand a chance of winning any more games.

Did he foul the ball though, by dropping it like that then immediately collecting it again?

    That's not a foul.

If it was intentionally done yes, but I don’t think it was.

Moran thinking about scoring differences. At least he has some sort of brain in his head.

The break next weekend might do them good

Mayo the better team even though they were shown up defensively. Only for Moran they were flat in attack for long periods.

    Boyle being Boyle

No quarter given on these boards anyway.

Meath just not used to 70 minutes at this intensity. A good emphasis on S&C over the winter and more exposure in division one should see them better placed next year.

    Went for the ball.

    Filthy from Boyle. Typically.

    Poor stuff by Aidan O'Shea

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,981 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

Why are they going for a point from there ?

Don't think the ball was up around his head
