Disappointing this is not on Netflix with Discovery, they must be kicking themselves.

As emotional as it is to see the cameos, I'm... sceptical. I don't like the "McGuffin girl" trope all the way back to Firefly, and with Troi and Riker confirmed I'd worry this will be a series of high five cameos. 7of9 feels arbitrary.

I'm excited, don't get me wrong, but ... We'll see.

I read somewhere, that I can't find at the minute, CBS All Access did this intentionally. Something about not wanting to give one competitor all their catalogue for international streaming.

The hell with all the reboots, prequels, alternate timelines - they'we wasted 18 bloody years when all most people wanted to see was "what happens next" - as in, 25th century next, not "who would have thought 60 years of lore would create a dumpster fire for a prequel series, let's randomly skip to the 29th century" next. Only two decades to get the message.

I thought the same Slydice - a Romulan captured Borg Cube, no less. It also looks like there are splinter factions on Romulans, a bit like in STO - the guy telling Picard to be "the Captain they remember" is a Romulan too...

And in STO it was the remenant of the Tal Shiar which had captured a borg vessel.

Guard looks human? It's make sense in one respect, the federation would want to restore the assimilated, especially with 7of9 showing it could be done. So am guessing the FX shot is the same location - I did see blue lights rather than the uniform green - so I'm guessing the Fed captured a cube and are perhaps de-borging folk sector by sector?

I know some here think its a long wait till 2020 but its not really. Just keep yourself busy and time will fly by. I actually think its a good thing as the more people that see this the more people will be interested in it and want to watch the series itself. I think both old and new trekkies will watch this.

7 of 9 was definitely a surprise I must say. I did believe when someone posted at first that she would be in it and the Borg as well as Data, Riker and Dianna.

I have watched the trailer 4 times already lol

That looks great. I just hope they don't screw this up because that trailer feels "right".

Add in the Top Gun 2/Maverick trailer yesterday as well and it's been a very good weekend for unexpected sequels
