Played some diablo 3 for season 17 recently but then stumbled across a video about playing elder scrolls online in 2019 and ive jumped straight in :P
Its rather shocking the amount of content they have added and just how good the game is now.

A lot of destiny 2. Dropped the game for a good while but got back into it recently enough. Levelling a new character in prep for the new DLC.

Dont have the convinience of being in a clan on PC,so everything is mostly solo. Getting to the point im gonna have to find people to squad up with to do the more difficult activities.

As a aside, its such a phenominal PC port,it should be the benchmark other devs look at when porting games to PC imo.

I've been playing Destiny 2 with a few mates for the last couple months, it is defintely up there with one of my all time favourite games now. The amount of content in it is insane. Really looking forward to the start of the new season tomorrow. We haven't done any of the raids yet ourselves, really want to though. Add me on Battle.net there and if you need a hand with anything, give me a shout. I'll give you a shout when we are doing a raid if ya want too.

I always found Destiny 2 to be repeating the same content over and over again. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the gunplay, and the (very) short storyline, the characters and the variety of types of weapons. But it's asset reuse 101 in there. It's the same enemies, in the same maps, time and time again, but with different numbers.

I suppose I can't really criticise too much. I love Borderlands 2 for example. And replay it time and again.

While there are a good lot of assets used multiple times, there is now enough content in the game that it doesn't feel stale when you have to repeat things. New season with a load of new content starts tonight :D

I checked out, completely, from the Assassins Creed games for that exact reason

Grabbed Mordhau as my brother in law raves about it.

Man....I sure do suck at this game! I call a game if I get a single kill in a match, not going to get any better after that. Mainly stick to Horde mode, still get my head staved in with a tree branch or turd every now and then though.

Try and find death match servers labeled as duel yards or just duels. You walk up to a player, bow to each other then fight. Best way to hon your skills till you get a better feel for the game. If your play on console I dont know how it works but on PC you can drag and drive attacks with the mouse making the time the blade contacts shorter or faster then just letting the animation play out.

Shadow of Mordor - Really enjoyed this one. The core game loop got me in the same way as the earlier Assassins Creed titles so I had a lot of fun just chilling out, running around the world doing the side missions and grabbing the collectibles. Became a little bit OP towards the end as a result and had some pretty major issues with the story pacing but it was still always enjoyable, definitely looking forward to the sequel.

Just finished the main Far Cry 4 game and moved onto the Yeti DLC. Really enjoyed the setting and Pagan stole the show every time he was involved but the decisions you were forced to make in the story to drive you down a prescribed path never sat well with me. I loved the hell out of FC3 and rinsed it completely but there was just too much stuff in this one to even consider taking the time to collect which was a pity.

The Yeti DLC is fun so far but yea, not really gona miss this one over all even if I had fun in some of the missions along the way.

I got a bit burned out with games so I took a short break and came back with Psychonauts.
The graphics on the PC version hold up surprisingly well, apart from the FMVs. I'm about a third to a half through it. It's simple and fun just what I want atm

I actually started playing Assassins Creed: Odyssey recently, and I just can't get in to it. Much like Origins, it's not really an Assassin type game. Yeah it stretches out the story and what not, but there doesn't seem to be much in the way of assassination and stealth.

Instead I re-installed Black Flag, which is imo the best of the series. A combination of stealth/assassin work and sailing a bad ass pirate ship.

    Path of exile.

Free to play game, with cosmetic only in app purchases. Well not quite, you need to buy additional premium storage/stash tabs which are an essential quality of life improvement and which effectively constitute the cost of the game.

It is sort of a diablo 2 like game, but with a massively complex talent system and a talent tree and skill set shared between all classes. Each class does have a choice of three unique ascendency trees, which they can spend 8 points in after completing a labyrinth without dying at four different difficulty levels. All skills/spells are in the form of gems which can be socketed into gear and supported by other gems in linked sockets.

the game resets for a new league every three months or so, each league introduces a new league mechanic. the most recent one involves a monolith in each zone which you can click to reveal armies frozen in time. damage the frozen warriors to break them out of their timeline into ours, then those you have done so unfreeze and attack each other or you. kill them for loot.

Most recent league started on Friday so it is fresh. It is already regarded as a classic league, really fun league mechanics. Give it a try it is free. But look up a build, or else be prepared to write off your first character. There is too much to learn/too much complexity to invent a good build on your first attempt. Focus on survivability over damage.

Level cap is 100 but most people aim for around 90, you lose xp when you die but don't go down past the beginning of the level. Sooner or later you reach a point where your losses from deaths outweigh your gains and you stop levelling up.

    highly recommended. Free on steam.

On the quest to complete the backlog I've recently played and finished Portal 2.
It's only been out for 8 years...

Thinking of giving borderlands 2 a go but hesitating because of the time commitment involved.

Started Spec Ops The Line. Think I'm over halfway now

Currently playing the new DLC for Borderlands 2. B2 is a lot harder than I remember. Not overly difficult but can be a quite challenging at times. Took me a while to get used to my current setup and what not.

Finally finished Wolfenstein 2. Not as good as the first two and definitely gets a bit stale in places, but the good stuff is really good and some of the set pieces are creatively brilliant. Definitely worth a play, and it's worth sticking with as well as the quality does go up and down throughout the campaign. Thumbs up overall, it's somewhat less of a game than I expected, but a lot of work clearly went into it.

Looking forward to Young Blood now.

Dipped back into Destiny 2 but cant see me staying for too much longer as not going to pick up season pass. Going to give Salt and Sanctuary a go I think...

Mostly veering towards VR games and content recently. Skyrim VR for an hour here and there, Beat Saber with the gf after a few drinks in the evening, Project Cars 2 / Dirt Rally with the wheel, and some other games like Moss, Superhot VR and Budget Cuts. Google Earth VR when I just want something different. It's pretty crazy and looks great with the new Rift.

Non-VR would be the odd session of drunken Rocket League. I have 2.5k+ hours so I'm glad that addiction is gone. Getting into Civ VI a bit but still prefer V. Had a go again at Prison Architect yesterday but had to lean forward to type in item names in the menu so I quit that nonsense. If Cyberpunk is really good, I might build a new PC for it, since Witcher 3 is one of the best games ever.

The game I really want to play but can't is Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes. It is such a laugh in VR or without, but I can only play if I invite a friend over. The main guy for that gets back into the country in two weeks so I'll play some then. Gf doesn't like it, which is unfortunate cause it's such a unique experience. Maybe she knows it could end the relationship.

I misread that title for a second there.

Thinking of playing either Bastion or Transistor, I have both.

Sims4 :o I need to talk about it. I have a lovely home. 2 adults and twin teenagers. The father is a medical specialist and the mother is a lieutenant, loads of money. Gorgeous house.

There was a fire. The rest of the household ran to safety. Twin 1 couldn't get out. I didn't extinguish the fire. I was a bit bored of my Sims dying of old age all the time. So I let him die. :(:(

Mainly Final Fantasy 14 and Destiny 2.

Fancy a playthrough of some older games though, and i suspect a Final Fantasy 7 and Freespace 2 run will be coming up soon.
