Hopefully in the near future when the Note 9 is on Android Q, these long slow monthly update waiting times will stop with Project Mainline.

Think this the first time I've ever had a Samsung that I don't want to root it or put different firmware on it Really really enjoying the experience one or whatever they call it and secure folder is excellent. I could never use that before because was always rooted.
Im not a big user of the s pen apart from messing about with photos but it's really handy for them im sure they are loads more use for it. Anyway so far loving the note. I did end up getting another spigen case as I didn't like the one they gave me so I got a nice fitting neo hybrid it feels really tight on it not like the other one that was loose.

So, for those of you who've had a Note 9 for a while.. would you still buy one today?
No interest in the S10 range as I've said previously (camera cut out does nothing for me and I prefer the FP scanner on the back), and seeing as the Note 10 looks to be going the same way I'm sitting here thinking of pulling the trigger on a new Dual-Sim Note 9 for €540 (justifying to myself that I'll part-fund it by then selling my S9+)

I never owned a s9 plus I came from s8 plus which looks to be very similar the yours I'd definilty buy one again no regrets it feels so much better and even the small changes in shape feel better.
I also hate the notch in s10 thats why I went with note 9 it's probably going to be the last decent screen Samsung for a while also use the s pen a bit for Web browsing and messing about with photos.0 -

Oh don't get me wrong, I'd definitely still get one and very nearly ordered one myself from work this week. Would be a monster phone.
On the notification LED. I don't really get it myself as I don't like them, but does the AOD not make up for not having it for you?0 -

Not really. At the end of the day, it's still a phone - fine for watching a YouTube video in bed, or something on a plane, but it'll never replace my TV for anything more than that [EDIT: Sorry, this is more interpreting AOD as All-Over Display than Always On!]
Plus we recently got in some A50's in work. Very nice yes, but again no notification LED (AOD is handy but I like that blinking light - call it a quirk) and there's nowhere really to hold the phone properly without covering or smudging the screen.
My biggest issue with Samsung is that after 2/3 years they stop getting updates (security and patches more than new OS versions, but that too!) which is a pain given that the tech itself has pretty much peaked IMO with only marginal updates to CPUs and new novelty features trying to make up for that.
But at €540 for a brand new Dual SIM Note 9, I think it's probably worth it0 -

Yeah the LED probably is handier if the phone is over on a table where you can't see it directly too. That is a very good price for the Note 9, might as well go for it.
As an aside, I really like the A50 for the money. I've recently replaced old iPhones for two family members with them lately and they're delighted with them.0 -

YA the A50 is very impressive given its price... that's why I've told procurement to order me one!
