I can definitely see where you're coming from, but that early in the game it's pretty obvious that it wasn't a serious accusation. Her behaviour today even further throws her motive into question

However, do you actually think she's a wolf? If you do, then fair enough. But if you think she is a villager, and you're just voting for her for revenge, then I really don't think that's the best play. Play the long game

Oh I’m not voting for her. The petty part of me wants to, but I don’t think that’s in the best interest of the village.

I'm up to about 10:30am with my catch-up. Obviously, the Clodagh drama is attention-grabbing, so I'm trying not to get blinkered on just that.
    Phil wrote:
"Mary delivered absolutely nothing of substance, why was she offed?"

I don't like one-liners that just ask a question without offering a suggestion/solution. Also, I don't like hollow attempts to get the village going down the D1 'Why was someone munched?' rabbit-hole. It can be a useful wolf tactic to distract the village.

As an example of something that's not hollow and something I'd consider a worthwhile post in the aftermath of a munch: Gabriel isolated two of Abigail's posts and pointed out reasons why he thought Abi might be targeted by wolves. Gabriel admitted that it wasn't 100% solid, but at least he was looking at something and not just posting a one-liner question.

Obviously I still have a bit of reading to do and later events/revelations could shed new light for me on the above, but at the moment I'm noting some of Phil's posts as well as Clodagh's.

Can't wonder about even more what ifs, someone is saying vote them out. Fine I will. Happy to get rid of someone not bothered playing. Why keep someone around longer when they don't want to play to sacrifice someone else who could be good and engaging with the game

Quoting Conor here cause he and Holly both used the same expression in a very short time. Could be coincidental.

Reading back over Clodagh's "rage quit", what strikes me is Holly is really the only one who goes all in on using it to justify a vote tonight. Everyone else seems to take a step back or state they won't vote for Clodagh. Holly makes it a point to say she will. Everyone else is happy to let the situation calm. Holly tries to use it to rally people.

Its not a whole lot, but it does feel a bit like Holly needs to find any excuse to justify a vote tonight, even if it's a bad one, and seizes the opportunity quite hastily.

Ha, just as I post the ISO!

Conor is a funny one as I'm leaning away from him now that he's posting more. I really didn't like the exchange with Clodagh at all though, it was icky.

I've nothing on Wendy, but take your point re: the skimming.

Well I did read and have been reading every post but not to the level that I could give a big list of reads or even reliably recall what every other poster has said.

I used skimming as a means of being unable to make a total recall on what I've read

Sorry for earlier all, let real life merge with this and lost it more than a little bit. The nice mods convinced me to carry on so I will probably not be on tonight but if not munched or lynched will be back tomorrow playing the game properly.

I’m not a baddie but don’t let this post change your mind, look at me like you would any other player.

Just to be clear my FFA is:

    1) Liam - I believe Phil is village so Liam by default due to their interactions yesterday.

I don’t really have any more, possibly Henry in second if I had to pick one.

    Meanwhile I’ll just be:

    ISO of Liam WW:

    Liam WW wrote: »
WW Liam awoke covered in sweat after hearing what he believed was a cannon being shot. It had been quite a deep slumber he had been partaking in and he had endured nightmares throughout. He looked all around him and quickly surmised that he was no longer in Quantico. A cold hard circular cement structure lay beneath him and when he rose to his feet Liam realized that he was not alone. Many others were standing upon identical structures.

He didn't recognize any of them unfortunately. Grank, Clodagh, Oisin, these names all meant nothing to him. It seems that his former FBI cohorts Pter, sKeith and Tusk among others had been replaced by a whole new group, all of whom had the initials WW emblazoned on their forheads. Liam did however suspect that the latter of those could indeed be one of this new group as one of them was already shouting thanks to others as they stood waiting for some sort of signal.

BOOM! another cannon shot he wondered as all the others sprinted away from their perches. Still a little confused and still not sure where he was or why the rest of his FBI buddies were nowhere to be seen, Liam decided to back away into the trees nearby. From their he thought it best to observe the others actions further before deciding should he follow their lead. Be they friend or foe, he simply did not know yet.

So, an opening post to end them all. Got quite a few thanks too. What do we make of this now Clodagh has claimed to be Dandy?
    Liam WW wrote: »
Lots of eager Day 0 posters asking lots of questions. Could be a good thing I suppose but don't think anyone will have decent answers to those questions just yet. The subject to change munch thing to me reads like SK and Wolves competing over the first kill but there could be more mechanics at play that I don't know.

Um.... so an opinion about day 0 posting that turns into mech talk. Could be done as either alignment.
    Liam WW wrote: »
    Gifs it is so

    tenor.gif?itemid=5583012

    Moar Mila. Otherwise - fluff.
    Liam WW wrote: »
Liam had been observing for a few minutes when he realized one of his new companions acting very oddly indeed. Clodagh was talking to herself while sniffing around where others had stood. Very odd indeed, but not as odd as her questioning if indeed she was a her but then again in these times is that really that unusual?

Liam didn't focus too much on her musings about imperonations however, his mission was to track down evil doers not people like himself. More worrying to him was the fact that a creepy looking Ginger kid called Gabriel had started blowing kisses to people. He wanted to be in the village core but would that mean having to let this guy get near to him he worried.

For now the trees seemed a safer place for Liam he thought but oh no the ginger kid has already started to address him and he was temporarily all out of Mila Kunis gifs

More story-telling. The flavour is nice and all Liam but have you any opinions on these Day 0 posters you earlier referenced....
    Liam WW wrote: »
    Hello Phil.

Are you a wolf by any chance? Would be awfully nice if you told the truth.

Hmmm. Blunt question to Phil. I can see a wolf doing this (I've done it before haha)
    Liam WW wrote: »
How cordial but in case you missed it Mr not a wolf Phil and especially for that Ginger kid who seemed to appreciate it before

Some more needling of Phil as the back and forth begins. Ginger Kid is a reference to me, I think (posted a couple of ginger kid gifs). Fluff.

Mr Not a wolf or SK Liam here

hmm I notice a slight difference between our new monikers, perhaps there is something you might think you are good at afterall

More pushing on Phil, it's meh though and can see it as cage rattling
    Liam WW wrote: »
calling it now someone will suggest this is a staged interraction later.

No I do not like Killing people and no that stuff is not too interesting, it was however an excuse to post Mila Kunis gifs and surely you don't dislike Mila do you? That really would be interesting / suspicious.

    giphy.gif

I kinda hate this post. Especially the starting mention of staged interaction. More fluff aside from that.
    Liam WW wrote: »
    tenor.gif?itemid=7505158

    More fluff.
    Liam WW wrote: »
umm I'd understand if someone else asked this question but you should know the answer.

For others our interraction is not staged and Phil is dodgy because of course Mila is great.

    giphy.gif

So the whole interaction boils down to Phil being dodgy because he doesn't like Mila? Eh....
    Liam WW wrote: »
Mr Liam is my father I'm Liam WW but yeah the Mila Kunis stuff is silly - but she is great - in terms of you being dodgy in the game or not.

But I don't regret the Mila gifs

    mila-kunis-Cyrd5G.gif

Still though let's change tact and focus on Senor Steve. Bit early to be casting votes isn't it? Oisin could be munched tomorrow for all we know. Could he have a point though, would accusing someone on thread be a typical wolf task? especially with people speculating that there may be a task for first kill between wolves and the SK it could be a good idea to be watching for potential tasks

Moar Mila, can't fault him for that.

Changing onto Steve is interesting though. And he has a very valid point about choosing a lynch target prior to the munch.
    Liam WW wrote: »
Are there ever day 0 tasks for goodies? I get potentially competing for first munch between bad teams

Liam should know well that every game is different imo. I definitely recall some games that had tasks from the beginning.
    Liam WW wrote: »
If anything I'd now wager your the least likely to be killed in the munch tomorrow as wolves don't tend to kill those under suspicion already.

    So Chillax dude

Responds to Oisin asking the village to avenge him. Blergh I mean it could be TMI but it's a fair conclusion to draw.
    Liam WW wrote: »
    You tease you!

Nothing then until Henry and his secret.

Lot of people reacting to his 'secret'. Definitely at least one wolf in that bunch.

    And nothing since.

Overall this is basically a pile of fluff and Mila Kunis gifs.

He's only really interacted with Oisin and Phil on the thread and hasn't been on today.

There really isn't much to go on so far, I'm on the fence here. I can see this as a wolf trying to slot in - but does he really enter the thread and start calling people wolves immediately?

Meh... don't lynch here today anyways, see how he develops imo.

P.S. Glad you decided to stick around. Even if you do turn out to be a wolf ;)

Okay, I could be completely wrong here but my feelings for #FFA1

Holly - Pretty quiet, main posts today were trying to push lynch vote for Clodagh without really calling her as a wolf,
Steve - I thought he was trying to create an Oisin bandwagon on day 0 and I didn't like his comments about there being no tasks. I don't think he's provided much in the way of opinions today, and I just have a wolfy feeling here.
Conor - I had ruled you out but that FFA was just way too wolfy for my liking. It had dead players, missed other players, referenced part of posts… That, together with your earlier comment about "you people" just has me way too shaky on you.

    Okay, more quick summaries:

Barbara - Two posts yesterday, nothing today

Brendan - Low post-count, but catching up now, will see how that goes

Wendy - Low post-count, throwing pot-shots at random people as she goes

Angus - Correctly points out potential problem with Henry's backroom.

Tegan - Doesn't seem to have openly accused anyone yet, aside from one claim of pocketing

Liam - No new posts today, see my summary from yesterday

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,411 ✭✭✭Wendy WW

I dont recall a confirmation on peoples thoughts with the kills so here are my own meandering thoughts ::

Abigail could have just been killed as they were the first person alphabetically in the list. It was my thinking on it when I saw the people who had died. Especially if that was the serial killer kill. Serial killers don't really care who they kill, so alphabet is as good as any.

I just went through the wiki and Mary being killed by a throwing knife would be the wolf kill because clove was linked with Cato and Cato is on the wolf team and Clove killed people by throwing knives

So either Mary was on to something with her 2 posts or the wolves thought she was playing it cool or the wolves just killed someone low posting to confuse us

So somebody was trapped and somebody has used medicine. Surely the person trapped didn’t use medicine to get out?

Who needs medicine? Suppose the better question would be who in this village doesnt need medicine...

    FiMzxt.gif

Ok, medicine heals but what else can it do in WW world?

I presume this will be maybe like the gold rush stuff where two prizes a day can be won? So maybe the power has to be used that day? But why use it at 6? Why now?

Really surprised by Mary and Abi. Both low posters and I had no real read on either of them. I'm going to be caught for most of today so i'm setting out my thoughts and I'll be back to defend these where I can.

No real strong feelings on anyone yet, but my initial thoughts....

Doris, I'm liking you today. Absolutely nothing yesterday but today has been a nice analysis.
Fiona, I had you down as SK yesterday but i'm revising that after your 9.59 breakdown (though would be a nice double bluff). I'm liking your contributions more as the day goes on...
Frank hasn't said much but I had a good feeling (based on not very much) from day 1.
Gabriel has done a lot of poking - getting a village lean.
Eva, I felt like your posts had no substance yesterday and like you might be a low-flying wolf...
Oisin, I didn't like your reaction to the initial allegation and since then, I'm just feeling a bit wolfy about you.
Riona, I'm flip-flopping over your posts. I was feeling wolf yesterday but I think now you might just be a villager poking at people.
Gertrude, i'm leaning village because you provided me with a story - did you think it might have been for a task? It felt like a villagery good deed.
Liam, I'm sorry, but I just feel wolfy about you right now. I think you were doing an impersonation task on day 0 and yet you kept insinuating tasks were only for wolves and SK. I'm really confused. Persuade me otherwise!
Phil, I feel like you're doing a lot of pocketing and bandwagoning. Wolfy-wolfy pie?
Steve, your claim of "no tasks" made me feel wolfy about you. #216
Desmond - i'm getting an initial good lean...

The above is slightly unfair as I feel that the following people haven't contributed too much and I don't have much of a feel for them: Brendan, Barbara, Tegan, Wendy.

Henry, Conor, Phil and Clodagh I'm ignoring for now as I don't want to discuss the past few pages.

Let the attack on this begin. :)

Ive highlight ones which were somewhat parroting of others based on what had been written this morning, obviously I noted mine when it was closely linked with what Gabriel had previously said.

As it stands, I am voting Henry unless anything changes between now and 9.

I'm at around 2pm with my catch-up now:

I'm not liking how easily and strongly Holly jumped on the Clodagh train. You could see other players posting their thought processes and trying to look at Clodagh's situation from a few different angles.

Meanwhile Holly is posting a gif of Peter Griffin hanging and is a bit too quick with "I know who my vote is for" for my liking. With 7 hours of events and discussion yet to transpire before lynch, that's very decisive. Also, no FFA or other reasoning from Holly that I can see at that point outside of the Clodagh heat. Pushing to lynch someone who may withdraw or have to be mod-killed is a waste of a D1 lynch, which would be convenient for wolves.

Also - Nice meltdown Clodagh. I'd put that on the 'Three Mile Island' scale of meltdowns we've had in our games. Nothing compared to other Fukishima or Chernobyl incidents though :D

    Steve:
    Clodagh claiming she knows things

    Henrys got a secret

Oisin is panicked and ultra defensive

Also says that Until told otherwise he thinks no tasks - I'd usually think the opposite as often its stated if there are no tasks

    SK gif talk re Fiona

Conor - Maybe as you people are killed off but not sure there’s anyone back there just yet (instantly called out by Jake) - assume at least different teams

Clodagh - doesn’t remember her character name

Mary killed after only a few posts before Fiona did a read list of everyone with her as only “nothing of substance”

Abigail also killed - the same read list noted as follows

Abigail WW – In quick succession, points to Phil’s wolfy comment, and draws connection between two of my posts, citing ballsy SK role claim

Henry, clodagh, Phil, Jake and Fiona active on thread right before munch

A post designed to make clodagh not look like a wolf - 245

If someone dies can they still talk in the back Room they had assigned?

I’ve never had a back room before

Phil thinks Abigail dying after highlighting stuff to do with him and Fiona somehow implicates me (Liam), not sure how but noteworthy - later apologized for being a dick to me (his words not mine)

Conor says Henry is in his lock clear group - nobody should be clear atm

Phil then says that both Conor and Henry are.... based on what? Thinking like you (or at least seeming to) does not clear others

Later saying they know what they know makes me think they could have off thread info on each other they may believe though

Clodagh states she doesn’t have a name. Not saying what I am but if NRVs don’t have names maybe she will be suspected a bit less

Clodagh does a rhyme which end maybe Conor will be a goner - giving the wolves an opportunity to set him up by munching Conor ... that said Conor then responded with a similar rhyme

Andy / clodagh seems to be threatening quitting the game, why? Cos people suspected him, that happens to us all

People looking for a consensus on if we should lynch clodagh - doesn’t seem a roled villager with current actions but not sure a wolf at all. If people vote that way it’s hard to blame them on day 1 but I’d still be weary of a bandwagon

Conor breaks down the OP, could be helpful, could seeming helpful

The Capitol bodyguard stands out from what he said. If a Seer peeks someone and that peek is blocked then wouldn't you assume that person is a wolf? can't see why they would protect a non wolf.

Eva states she is playing catch up while saying that low posters are maybe not wolves cos they targetted a low poster. Maybe a wolf would like that notion out there

Henry puts me, Conor, Clodagh & Phil in his village, no explanation given though.

Eva getting a lil bit tetchy (is that a word) calling out an adult (Gabriel) for using lol - Phil loling back, fair play ha agree with Riona, not the people, focus on the posts

Gab ISOs Des but doesn't come to much of a conclusion

Gertie henry having a back and forth spat. Henry stating he think he got a message from Dandy & Co - backroom related I guess

Henry now representing the backroom - does line up I suppose

Gabs says everyone has a backroom - Gertie later says maybe its just a select few - Guess they obviously do anyway. Gabs says it's obviously 8 per backroom - could henry not confirm this if he's in one?

Angus (has he been on much) questions if Henry shoud think his BR are village and safe to talk to

    Gertie thinks BRs aren't helpful

    Gabs calls Conors FFA wolfy

Talk about 25 sign ups but only 24 players - Could 2 be sharing an account - I think thats what Henry says later "Hydra"

Gifts and trap brought up again. I guess either the person a) can't say they were trapped or maybe don't know and possibly wolves got the prize.

Gabs encouraging FFAs, the earlier this happens the less likely a wolf is to push it imo but could be wrong, Henry a bit Meta with her suspecting her off previous style and then further emphasises who Gabs is and that its obvious

Conor highlights how STeve was in the middle of the whole Oisin & Clodagh situations

wait so all that 24/25 talk was a wast its 24/24

Gabs ISOs Oisin reads them as reactionary which I guess is fair

Fiona does some reads of the more active posters - the "You people" thing about conor gets mentioned again and is one of the harder things to ignore with so little concrete on day 1

Angus goes from Village to wolf on Conor

Jake suggests Holly desperate to justify a Clodagh lynch

Clodagh is back - good he/she is not quitting but only has me on his FFA, not good. SOrry I did your style of 3rd person stuff at first dude. Don't think Phil is after me but my interaction with him makes Clodagh seemingly vote me. Mad gif too!

someone used medicine. A cure for a trap? can they explain now?

Gabs then ISOs me, appreciates Mila and says don't lynch today at least

Fiona reads the lower posters and has less to say

FFAs starting to come in EVA/Oisin on Steves for example

Evening all back on for a little bit.

    #ffa1

Gabriel: Lots of posts, very helpful. But so much helpful and nice. It seems most of his posts are hedged to make sure nothing comes back to him, with a touch of casting shade on players attempts to solve.

Oisin: basically for that reaction to being accused - that was a hell of a pushback to a fairly standard D0 cage rattle

Conor: Realise it looks omgus, but your ffa is weak as dishwater.

Other notables are liams comments on staged interactions; Phil, who is a top three poster but has very little actually in them bar questions and bants (I also don't get his earlier attempt to focus on the traps but maybe I've missed something) and Clodagh's odd behaviour
