Trump should win this. Higgins is awful, it's a poor reflection on snooker that he's even in the final. Trump is more experienced now, so people can forget about previous history and 2011. It doesn't always work out like that though. Only nerves might get the better of Trump, shouldn't though.

Here we go! Trump 18-12 I reckon

Higgins has to stay with Trump, play tactical snooker, disrupt Trump's rhythm, and take his chances. If it's close by tomorrow night, the pressure will get to Trump.

If we're making predictions, then I guess 18-8 to Trump.

    I will say 18-16 Higgins.

    First frame to Trump.

    What a fluke from Higgins.

    18 - 11 to Trump.

Someone please send JV back to bed. How can they let a man who doesn't open his mouth when speaking, commentate on a snooker match?
Angles has been brilliant. Knows when to shut up, and gives some great analysis.

Hes had more centuries than Trump in the tournament. Has had a harder route to the final and pulled the semi final out of the bag when he looked buried. From your posts its clear you dont like Higgins but at least try and look at it objectively

Want Trump to win but I can see Higgins sticking with him, Trump by 4 frames

Off to a good start. Higgins getting very lucky with that long pot and to be on the black after and then unlucky missing red to the middle. Judd showing hes more than capable on the safety game. Hopefully the rest of the final lives up to the first 2 frames

    2-1 to Trump.

139 from Higgins to take the third frame.

Can’t get to watch it so thanks to all for the updates.

Terrific opening red from Trump in the 4th frame. And the next red.

139 from Higgins to take the third frame.

Not a bad break for such an awful player :pac:

Trump right back at it in 4th frame. Century on now and.should be 3-1

3-1 to Trump after a great century break at the mid session interval.

Lovely interview with the referee Leo Scullion who beat lung cancer.

Saw that. His wife and daughter were shown as he was walking into the arena too. Very proud looking. Great day for him

    3-2 to Trump.

    3-3.

And Higgins levels at 3-3. Two frames in a row for him.

4-3 Higgins, another century. Back in his groove from where he left yesterday.

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,403 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

    4-3 Higgins.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,325 ✭✭✭xi5yvm0owc1s2b

From 1-3 down at the interval, Higgins makes another century to lead 4-3. Trump needs to respond here.

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,403 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Higgins has had a bit of luck along the way. He's fluked a red at the start of the 8th frame.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,325 ✭✭✭xi5yvm0owc1s2b

Trump's momentum is all gone here. Higgins kept him off the table for nearly 35 minutes, scoring 245 points without reply.

4-4. Another century. Great response from Trump after Higgins got lucky to get in and frame looked on. Fantastic opening session.

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,403 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

4-4 after the first session. Trump finished with a century. 2 centuries each in the final.
