Again, the 'truth' told by Casey only encourages irrational kneejerks.

Nothing irrational about it. Irish people have been far too tolerant of all this nonsense lately despite the downward trajectory our society is taking and it's people like you who are trying to piss in everybody's pockets and tell them it's raining.

Now we're getting acid attacks in the streets FFS...but hey,Irish people have always done that to each other, right?

Acid attacks caused by open borders!

That acid attack is awful. The law needs to fall like a ton of bricks on the perpetrators. I would recommend life imprisonment and I mean life.

Yeh, but hey remember, the TRUTH is 'Travellers are basically people who camp on other people's land'.
That is gonna solve acid attacks in Waterford. All hail our new overlord, who solves problems by talking about them cryptically. :):):)

I hope ireland does head "the way of trump"...we need a leader who will speak openly and address issues without pandering to a minority of troublemakers or hurting the feelings of those that have never done an honest days work in their lives.

Trumps a fcuking arsehole, its disturbing the amount of people he's fooling on this planet, he don't give a rats arse about anyone, this is clearly obvious

I bet those who carried out the attack are children of foreign nationals most or asylum seekers....

Trump is a result of the political establishment and media losing track of the market in terms of public opinion.

Ireland is very much in the same boat

I'd say we are only a few years away for financial reparations for the traveling community, similar to the type the native Americans have .
I think the least the state can do is designate parcels of land throughout the country for exclusive use for the traveling community.
Extra help with education health and social welfare services, that can support Travelers while also letting them be true to their nomadic lifestyle,
The Irish state has tried to force the traveling community to integrate and hope the lifestyle would disappear.
The ethnic minority status only help to strengthen their case.

He seems to be doing very well in carrying out his mandate to the people of the US.

Just how, exactly is he a "fcuking arsehole"? Too much of a white, straight male for you?

If there's a any sense in the country we should be only a few years away from outlawing travelling "culture" and give the "parcels of land" they so lovingly destroy to more deserving people.

Ethnic Minority Status does not give them that as a right. nor 'bestows immunity'.

Laziness from those responsible for education and the law, allows that.

Again, the 'truth' told by Casey only encourages irrational kneejerks.

Not officially but attaining ethnic status officially makes it more difficult to chase travellers when it comes to truancy or crime as the race card can be played and rest assured between media and the QUANGO sector, there are plenty of do-gooders who's ears prick up when a traveller cries discrimination, like with Rotherham, a culture of looking the other way sets in amongst the authorities

It's the same with male victims of domestic abuse, the state does not officially view women as always being the benign party but in practice that is the position taken by the guards

Activists lobby for such approaches and this effects policy, same with travellers

I can tell you for a fact that the children who terrorised my mother in her home and generally trashed a neighbourhood here for more than a year were the children of Irish father's and mother's who have lived in the community for generations.

    What is your point?

There were issues with truancy, crime in the traveller community long before SEMS.

There were also many issues trying to instill parity of esteem and a sense of enfranchisement which is crucial if a community is going to help itself.

I think the least the state can do is designate parcels of land throughout the country for exclusive use for the traveling community.

You probably have a point in that many traditional stopping places have gone, though I doubt that these parcels will be anywhere near the leafy suburbs of Dublin.

You could then remove all other sites and oblige travellers who want to go on the road to only use these designated places. And if they leave them in filth, well they'll just have to live with it.

It's about cementing in law the ( at this stage) multi generational extortionate racket against the Irish tax payer

Being a traveller is a helluva sweet gig when you think about it, no bourgeois concerns like getting a job, mortgage, educating ones kids, tax planning

Baschically being babied your whole life while having the great and good amongst the cultural elite viewing you as sacred

    What a country

    What is your point?

Did I ask about your mother home?

The point is we are seeing a major rise in crime by sprogs of imports. Blanch, Lucan, Ballbriggan etc

Based on skin colour nothing much been down as the race card is played.

Elected is the key word here, Casey has not been.

Did you not try to do anything about it,no?

Too busy posting accusations of racism on boards.ie whilst your mother suffers from thugs running amok?

Dear me. Civics teaching has lot to answer for. We don't elected leaders directly. See representative democracy if you're confused. Then again the traveller problem was where this thread was heading from the beginning.

What I did about it has nothing to do with the fact it happened...as crime does.

I didn't accuse anyone of racism. More sensationalism.

It was been discussed in context of P Casey, unlike your mothers house.

What did Casey say about 'acid attacks in Waterford'?

I see you have gone full judge and jury too...well done!

I think Jamie's posting is all the evidence we need that Casey's sensationalist, inflamatory, factless ranting leads to this kind of taking a ball and running amok with it.

As my previously mentioned mother would say, 'Peter makes the snowballs and gets somebody else to throw them'.

Which was to blame an acid attack on 'the children of foreign nationals or asylum seekers'.

Where did Casey talk about crimes committed by foreign nationals and asylum seekers?

Would your thought process allow that my point is correct...'Casey makes the snowballs and others throw them?'

What's the story with this acid attack in Waterford. Black on black crimes ?

No idea, scumbags whoever they were. Turns out the poor chap is a talented footballer who has represented Ireland underage and had trials for clubs over in England. Doctors are hopeful that they can save his eye-sight, fingers crossed.
