That was so fcuking weird. A Girl Like You randomly popped into my head the night before that announcement. Also, has anyone seen the poster with that announcement? It's so bad it's funny. Worth looking it up.

The picture of Edwyn? That's what he looks like now after two brain aneurysms.

Rob Thomas has a new album, so could likely be touring this year or early next year this side of the world

I would sell a kidney for him to tour anywhere in Europe.

    New album is awesome.

Chromatics to play their first Irish gig since 2013.

Decent song 'Time Rider' released earlier this year; no sign of that follow up album yet, though!

Good stuff. 3 Arena might be a bit ambitious though.

100% since their UK tour is in smaller venues roughly 2-3000 cap

This is where a 4/5k venue would work. Three will be empty for this and they'll have the curtains pulled across etc.

Agreed , I would have put them in the Bord Gais and sold that out in a smaller venue or even do two nights there(if it was free)

Yea they will have too , Id say they might do the small standing area and then the seats behind it or they might just do the normal standing but curtain the back area of the standing area.

Could turn into another Counting Crows with 3 giving away tickets to fill the place up a bit.

Seems to be a good few events like this announced recently.
Dido ,David Blaine ,and this ,all in the 3Arena when they are playing much smaller venues in the UK .
The Bord Gais would be better suited for these acts but now that Livenation fully owns the 3Arena and have a controlling share in MCD ,everything can be kept in house reducing costs.

Lads id say its safe to say that there isnt going to be any additional acts going to be announced for Slane considering its nearly a month away. Looking at their most recent show last night it looks like it will be a class gig. It will be a long day if there are only going to be two acts over 6 hours hopefully they announce something cause its a bit of a pisstake at this stage
