The first 10 mins of the episode was prob the best part, The episode is mainly a buildup to this battle with some interesting developments in the characters (especially Daenery’s reaction about Jon’s secret doesn’t bode well for the later episodes). Felt a bit let down to be honest....

I really enjoyed it however with the Caveat of knowing it's only 6 episodes long there was a lot more catching up down but that all has to be now by the looks of it.

Danys reaction was a bit of a surprise, half expected Jon just to say he doesn't want the thrown particularly because he seems to never want any of the positions he's given :)

Enjoyed it but nothing happened! Tormund is a legend btw

    I loved it.

Loved the nod to Dunk and Egg. Although I fear we are losing a lot of that particular cast of characters during the next episode.

Jon's reveal was excellent. I was half expecting him to say that his claim wouldn't matter if they married anyway.

Still processing it all but Brienne/Jaime, Arya/Gendry and Jon/Dani were highlights for me. Also Theon/Sansa.

Interesting how alone Dani seems. Whereas the King Killer (sic :)) just slotted right in like he was meant to be there.

I did think Dany would see Jon as a threat to her, wasn't really surprised by her reaction. As for Tormund, the man is a legend! Looks like we are in for an epic battle

What did ser jorah advise Dani to do I wonder? Right after he told her to keep Tyrion he said someone else and then it cut to her and Sansa

Has it been aired yet? I got the impression it wasn’t in until tomorrow?

Amazon Germany accidentally put it up earlier and it was up long enough for people to screen-record it.

Second week in a row an episode has been put up early, I bet HBO are raging.

Thought it was very enjoyable. I can criticise it as kinda another reunion episode, but it was much more than that. Every main character that is still alive was there (except Cersie and Bronn). Brienne getting made a Knight, Arya getting it on with Gendry lol, Jamie and Theon prepared to sacrifice themselves to save others, Dany finding out about Jon's lineage, even Jorah meeting the little lady leader of his house, all wrapped up in a poignant and nice way. All of their story 'arcs' have lead up to this point. Feel I am spoiled by usually binge watching shows so think these episodes will play even better when watched back to back to back.

They will start falling like flies from here on out. If Cersie is the only one left standing with Euron at the end I'll be annoyed, other than that I'll be happy.

Tormund sucking on the breast of a lactating giant for 3 months is the only spin off series that this show will ever need. :D

Thanks for that. Crazy to think this happened. I seemed to remember this happening last season too. Might have been hbo in Spain releasing it early

Probably exactly that - to try and build a relationship with Sansa. Sophie was great in this episode, I mean everyone brought their A game in a character driven episode but Sophie really was wonderful.

I can forgive Dany's reaction to Jon anyway - it was basically her turn this week to see her world come crashing down just like it was for Jon last week.

Excellent episode laying the ground for the madness to come next week.

Nice to see Ghost even if it was a just a cameo, hopefully we get to see him fighting in the next episode.

Love Tormund's sense of humor. Cracks me up even! But but so many innocence lost in this episode 👀

I think a lot of the dialogue is truly awful now, and the Arya scene was genuinely uncomfortable to watch.

Some good moments for sure, but don't feel as strongly as most on here about it.

The whole ‘women can fight too’ propoganda is getting tiresome at this point. I think i counted 4 scenes where this was pushed ham fistedly.

Still trying to process the episode. It had some interesting moments but felt like episode 1. Just kind've a slow build to the next episode where things should get a lot more exciting.

I wonder if Bran's belief that the Night's King is after him is actually wrong, and in fact the Night's King is actually after Jon Snow. Ever since Hardhome, the Night's King seems very aware of Jon Snow now. So it wouldn't be a surprise to me to discover that the Night King is actually targeting Jon Snow and targets Jon during the Battle of Winterfell instead of Bran.

I think the point is they have to due to a shortage of numbers.

Multiple references to women and children going into the crypts as well.

Dead bodies are in crypts by their very nature... Are they the best place to be??

Well I think they are wrong and no, the crypts aren't safe , but whomever is in charge thinks its the safest place, hence the women and children go there.

Pod singing reminded me a lot of pippen singing before the battle of minas tirith in lotr.
Was also hoping brienne would knight Pod after she had been knighted, he seems to be a squire forever.

First two episodes have been disappointing imho. I have waited 8 years to see what it's all about and some kind of ending. People are on about character development etc, etc but we have had 8 years for that and I think it's time for answers and action. I know we are going to see that now in the next episode but I think episodes 1 &2 have been a bit boring

    Pod song was Jenny's song!!!

A song about Duncan Targaryen giving up his claim to the throne to be with Jenny of Oldstone... Ominous.

One of the best episodes since season 4. Really well written and believable.

Very good show this week. The Jon / Dany scene was done much better than the Sam / Jon scene last week.

Some of the character dialog is a bit off these days. Like they try to inject humour just a bit too often or something.

Anyone else have a weird hankering for some milk halfway through the episode.

I'll be avoiding it for awhile I'd say.

Next week I reckon we’re going to see the end of lots of characters, hence the long drawn out fireplace scene this week.
