Possibly. Volunteered with Limerick and back when we hosted Pats in the league cup final we had a meeting about the cup final and things that needed to be done. In the meeting we were told any flags about JD/FAI will result in fines for Limerick as we were the home team so confiscate any that Pats brought.

The FAI have been fining Dundalk for flares on a regular basis. From what I am told by someone in the know...they get prize money less fines. No way to object or appeal....
Also been told certain clubs still waiting for FAI to transfer prize and Europe money....seems to be resting in the FAIs account

I'd be asking for the interest too then. There's surely a contract saying when the money has to be paid, if not off to court and get it and interest.

I typed astro pitch wexfird in to google..

The state of the art facilities at Ferrycarrig include multiple all weather astroturf pitches

First hit is that above from wexford fc - no idea what size they are tho

    They're 5 a side pitches
Yup. It would be weird to build multiple small astros in a county with no full astro tho. Which is why i posted that quote with multiple in it

No it wouldn't? They're cheaper, easier to maintain and generate good income fairly easily and tend to be built in clumps? How good a complex do you think ferrycarrig is that it'd be able to accommodate and maintain multiple full-sized artificial pitches?

Google maps is also a thing not that hard to search the place and check for yourself before making weird assumptions because they fit your agenda

So a subset of the board is investing if the board behaved inappropriately.

Wonder how long this investigation will take? And no doubt any questions posed in the meantime will be met with “we have commissioned a report and are unable to comment until that is published”.

Should buy them a few months.

An inside audit to find out if the people internally are doing things right. Only in Ireland.....

This is nothing more than an exercise to win time, hide more and clean things up. Audit will not be finished by the committee meeting so they will anwer all questions which are critical with "we will have to wait for the results of our internal audit".

can the director of corporate enforcement seek their own audit?

Everyone who issued a statement supporting delaney to be on the board I'd put money on it

I think if I am understand what Fergus O´Dowd has been saying its a case of Sports Ireland having grounds to audit and question financial aspects as they are supporting the FAI with public money.

Would love Sport Ireland to pull all finiancial support until a full forensic audit takes place by an auditor appointed by a government body. However as JD has friends in high places I doubt it will happen.

The statements were probably a requirement to be asked to do such an important job....write a statement and serve the FAI

Heres the latest Ewan MacKenna piece we were promised.

Nothing really new, but theres seems to be a lot more evidence of corruption or gross incompetence within the FAI accounts. Worth a read.
In April of 2017, John Delaney says he loaned his employer €100,000. The way this works in bookkeeping is the FAI would debit their bank account as they received money, and they credit a loan account for money they owe to that person or institution. As the Sunday Times reported, an invoice was then received and a remittance issued in July of 2017. However when someone produces an invoice, that's not a loan, and the double entry in that case is you debit an expense and credit a creditor's ledger account. At that point he's now owed €200,000.
If you are lost, it's okay. One expert that has studied the accounts tells us, "In layman's terms, the books say they paid him back €100,000 and that means he's still owed another €100,000, or there was a further payment of €100,000 to him to clear whichever was outstanding, be that the loan or the creditor's ledger entry. Either that or them saying the invoice that was produced was a mistake."
the thing he highlighted on twitter was a point made by The Times aswell in its original article
The Sunday Times has also seen a copy of an FAI “remittance advice” document made out to Delaney dated June 16, 2017. The remittance of €100,000 is said to have been paid based upon an invoice.

One thing that I think should be done is a full disclosure of all salary and benefits that John Delaney has received by year and what he gets going forward. If he has no skeletons or isn't embarrassed by it then he shouldn't have a problem with it...

The independent today reporting that gets 300 Euro a day for expenses when on UEFA business.

    From that Sun article:
And since 2016, the organisation paid rent of €3,000 a month to TV’s Grainne Seoige for a plush house in Wicklow.

What in the holy mother of divine jaysus are they paying Grainne Seoige's rent for?? She must have some dirt on Delaney!!!

^ That Jonathan Hall lad mentioned is the link between the FAI and the Oman FA also. Hoping someone digs into that.

And it makes you laugh that we then "restructed" our scouting system asking lads who've been doing it awhile to do it for expenses only now while JD gets rent paid while earning €500k+ before expenses and asking new lads to do it for some match tickets and a bit of gear.
