We’d never get a deal done with them. I think there’s a bitterness there between both clubs. Not sure we’ve ever bought off them?

Bale for €15m Real end of season sale starts now.

Damn I love Real but DeGea Ronaldo and Figo wouldn't save them even with Jose on a white horse.

People will say De Ligt ain't ready but he is. We need to buy now instead of in 3yrs time.

Anyone who says that just looks at his age and not him play. He is class

Has DdG signed the contract? They'll come after him this summer

I reckon they might have a clearout, Modric/Kroos

Shame how it worked out alright. Id love to see him in this team, if his head was right

Looking at our squad with a few additions we could be pushing on all fronts next season

We beed a pillar central defender

Right sided attacking player and a midfielder imo

Degea neds to be tied down asap

A couple of good squad players would be useful, especially looking at the squad for tomorrow night. Look at teams like Barca and Juve, they often have below top level players who can come in and do a job.

Someone on here mentioned Vardy earlier today. Id take him in a heartbeat, if he was willing to accept the role. Does that kind of signing impact youth coming through? Maybe, but Id consider it a bridging signing til they're ready.

I think we are safer than ever on that front. When it comes to priorities, goalkeeper will come below a CM/Star player (Hazard)/Striker. They can only soend so much and Courtois is the least of thrir worries imo.

Wouldn't be too interested in Modric. 33 now and I doubt he'd be able for the PL anymore. Bale is an aging sicknote no more than Sanchez.

I wouldn't take any of their ageing players

I’ve said it before but I think Mitrovic from Fulham would be a decent signing as a striker to give us something different. He’s a handful and great at getting on the end of things. He wouldn’t expect to start either if he’s honest. He was very young at Newcastle. I think he’s 24 or 25 now. He definitely won’t be playing Championship football next season. Expect a West Ham or someone like that to buy him.

If Lukaku isn’t sold then we are alright for strikers. If he is then we may need to get another striker on the semi-cheap (€30 million) and Mitrovic might be that guy. Can’t expect Greenwood to step up that quickly.

Tadic is proof of the quality available without spending stupid money. Guy is 30 now, playing great and leading.

United need astute signings, people that suit what the manager needs from the team so the team as a whole whole will function well.

It is not just about spending massive money. Club need to start getting it right.

Marcelo? He seems the type of player that gets better with age although his pace will decrease soon but would be a great squad opinion

Said very similar earlier today, club need to put in the background research so that in next couple of transfer windows they end up getting players signed before likes of Sky Sports News get a sniff of it happening.

Why do people all of a sudden think all of Real Madrids players are past their best? You realise all our players were shíte 4 months ago because our manager couldn’t utilise them properly. Real will get another manager in (Klopp or Poch might be on their radar) and reinvigorate them.

I’d have no problem with us spending all our transfer budget on 1 centre half and 1 right forward and bring through some youth players next season. I think we could suffer another season with Dalot/Young and Matic/McTominay if we get the likes of Sancho and De Ligt/Koulibaly/Whoever.

This might seem weird to say but I’m hopeful all the English clubs progress toward the semi’s in Europe (even Liverpool) as it keeps their fixture list busy for the next month or two.

Fully expect us to go out of Europe tomorrow and I’m perfectly fine with it. An FA Cup and a miraculous top 4 finish is plenty for a season I and many others wrote off.

As much as I don't want to say this, I can see DDG being sold this summer. If that does happen I would expect it to be close to or upwards of 100m sale. I hope Romero could step up and be the main man. He hasn't really ever shown me any obvious weakness so that would make for an interesting summer I think. Ideally DDG stays and Ole gets the backing needed but I just feel De Gea may want to get a few years in his home country while he's still at his peak.

There is only 1 club that potentially has a vacancy at gk and will be able to afford that money and its PSG.
I genuinely give Degea less than 10% chance of going back to spain before mid 30’s due to the absolute crap he has to endure when on Duty with spain.
I hope we pay him what he is looking for as I don’t think there are many clubs with the cash to buy what we should value him at.

So basically Ole is out of contract with Molde. Thibk everything is pointing in the direction of him getting the job

Personally I would not want a striker we have Lukaku, Rashford and Martial if needed. Greenwood is touted as the biggest prospect in years I would rather slowly ease him into the first team squad.

The romantic in me would like to see Chong, Gomes, Garner and Greenwood getting more chances next year but it is a big risk

I don’t disagree with most of what you’ve said.

However, I think it’s quite clear to see the difference when Rashford starts ahead of him. Belgium point is mute because they’ve nobody else with the quality of a rashford to challenge him.

We haven't seen Lukaku start a game flanked by Martial and Lingard under Olé.

More interesting there is the blurb on United using his face to sell season tickets for next year.

I had suspected his contract was simply bought out regardless of how he fared as I've never heard of a manager going on loan before.

I mean both are the correct choices both making him permanent and having bought out the contract months ago imo.

Can see Rashford playing wide a lot rather than just central. But with less focus on working back down the field.

Lukaku has again proved his worth the last two games around the box. Rashford is not that type of player and at his best against better sides that are 'playing' and giving him the chance to run at space.

Yep, I find some of the opinions re Lukaku's place in the squad quite bizarre considering the current situation. Rashford will lose form get injured or need to fill in out wide. There are more than enough games and room in the squad to keep them both happy.
