Look at teams like Barca and Juve, they often have below top level players who can come in and do a job. Someone on here mentioned Vardy earlier today. Id take him in a heartbeat, if he was willing to accept the role. Does that kind of signing impact youth coming through? Maybe, but Id consider it a bridging signing til they're ready.
