A quick look on oddschecker shows France available at evens in places. You could back them on a site other than betfair.

Small scale and will likely get your account closed but Betfair sportsbook have a possible arb up across their main markets.

    France win @ Evs
    Wales +1 @21/20

For anyone that can get a bet on with them. Not sure its worth the effort and cost yourself an account but may interest some. Free money is free money i suppose.

Excuse my ignorance, but what's a possible arb, and why would it result in them closing your account?

An arb is basically where you have a bet on every possible outcome of an event with guaranteed profit.

So in the instance above. You could bet
€205 @ Evens on France to return €410
    and
    €200 @21/20 on Wales +1 to return €410

This covers all outcomes. France bet covers France win. Wales +1 covers Wales and draw.

    Total outlay €405 for a return of €410 & €5 profit.

Bookies don't like giving away free money.

Am I right in saying that the risk would be it's a draw or Wales would win by 1, in which case you'd lose both?

No that would be if Wales handicap was -1.
No chance of losing money in this instance. Wales +1 covers Wales win and draw.

Would they really close someone's account for doing that? It's their mistake after all, and there's very little profit in it.

Probably not for just 1 instance. It depends on how muggy your other bets on the account would be but if you are mixing it would other bets of similar ilk you wouldn't get very far without them shutting you down.

Very little profit on a constant basis is significantly more profit than bookmakers want to have as a potential customer.

For 1st tryscorer they are paying out if the opposite number scores, but if course they have factored that into the odds...

They are also in shops giving money back as a free bet on selected markets if ireland win , tryscorers are one of the selected markets .

Saw that on line, threw 10 on each team to score a try in each half at 6/1, free bet if Irl win as above.

    :D

Davies should have got his try in the first half too

Small pre game interests in Scotland game

Kinghorn to score a try in first 10 mins 40/1
Seymour to score a try in first 10 mins 40/1
    Seymour motm 14/1

May look to back Scotland on the handicap if Italy can keep it tight for first half

Ireland 1-12 win @13/10 for me. Doubled up with a goal for the dubs tonight. Just over 2/1

Poor match result, but I'll take this.

Can't make up my mind on France vs Wales but edging towards France. Anyway, so far just over half my pot on England more than 6.5 in the 1st half @10/11. I can already see Ashton doing his butterfly dive inside the first five minutes. :D

    Ireland%2Bv%2BEngland.PNG

It would help if he wasn't starting on the bench. Lol.

Easy money on England more than 6.5 in the 1st half but I managed to **** up with in-play betting during the game having taken England to win @11/4. After a spate of cashing out/betting as the game ebbed and flowed, I ended up about 5% up on the weekend. :(

With the named teams have to have a go on davies anytime @9/2

Also looking at a Wales 1-12 and Ireland 1-12 double @11/2

I did like England getting 9 but thems the breaks beat by a better team on the day

Pretty much a wipe out... Thankfully a 14/1 on the ggs saved my weekend.

The only thing I've taken from the weekend is France are guaranteed to **** it up..... Great individuals.... Abismal team....

Not seeing much value anywhere this weekend, other than possibly a Scotland - Ireland winning half result @5/1 which I'm on.

A fun double on Italy and France too win @ 60/1ish

Some 1st try scorer bets too, with PP who are giving money back if opposite number scores.

    Best @16s
    C farrell @16s
    J richie @50s

And a small fun bet on c farrell to score 2 or more in 80mins @ 14s

At the moment Best is at 18/1 but McInally is at 22/1, surely better off just betting on McInally??

Or if you're looking at wingers either of the Scottish ones have longer odds than their Irish counterparts.

I don't like backing it but no tryscorer looks a bit too big @66/1 fancy it could be a bit of a war of attrition today

Also having a small play on any result involving a draw in the double result market @17/2

No, it's money back if the opposition number scores, not odds matched. So it's actually more unlikely that mcnally will score first

So I think best has a better opportunity to score from a driving maul than mcnally.
