From what I read, its Jaws Byrne pushing the agenda and Bomber bankrolling it.
I was looking at Twitter and see some people think Daniel Kinahan is active as the Sid guy. But why? If your worth a couple of million €, living in a playboys paradise, why would you be bothered playing silly buggers on twitter? Doesn't make sense, or have I missed something?
Makes sense.. Jaws wife being mentioned aswell to be a driving force, but who knows. But no way in hell could I believe Daniel Kinahan is just sitting back and watching it all happen. He has to be involved I would think. He might be worth a couple million €, buts its barely any use to him. He can't really leave where he is, he certainly won't go anywhere without his army of protectors.

These hard men would be well advised to remember what Bob Hope advised the gunfighter in the movie Paleface.

" He draws from the left so lean to the right
There's a wind from the east so aim to the west
he crouches when he shoots so stand on your toes....":D

The way i see it is, between these two factions warring against each other has led to the deaths of innocent people. They both seem to think they are moral compasses and accuse the other side as being "Rats" as if thats the worst thing anyone can be, failing to see that having people murdered is worse. While the Hutch side seems to have the more sympathy with the public because they are taking more casualties, both sides are scum and they fail to see that.

The Kinihan side seems to be very upset about the killing of David Byrne, nearly making him out to be a bastion of our society who was brutally slain for no reason. In one Twitter post discussing the picture being used of Gary Hutch laying dead someone justified all the killing with a photo of David Byrne and the title "That's why" under it. I just wish we had a court system to lock all these up for a considerable amount of time.

there is still a major problem with cocaine use in our society and the money is feeding these parasites. Its become acceptable to do coke now and its worse now than it ever has been.

Have you ever met a 'lovely' addict?
It's this immature attitude towards hard drugs that sees millions spent every year trying to prevent these low lifes from killing one another.

Ah, the side they never want you to see. The worst part is coke is now in every town in Ireland bar none. I know if you work on electrics in this country you will be tested for drugs, just wish they tested the gardai for drugs i think people would be surprised of those results.

But surely the saying "live by the sword, die by the sword" should sum it up for you. Byrne was involved in criminality and possible murders from whats being reported in the media, what about all the families he's ruined? surely they can say "that's why" as well. or the Hutches can claim the reason Byrne is dead with "thats why" with a picture of Gary Hutch. where does it end? an eye for and eye will leave the whole world blind.

look back through the list of all the real victims of gangland crime, they are the people who deserve justice (Anthony Campbell, Donna Cleary, Veronica Guerin and many more) they deserve justice. David Byrne deserves to be where he is right now, he signed up to that life, what else can you expect?

With what exactly? Would be nice to see how you can justify yourself.

Actually, when i said David Byrne deserves to be where he is right now, I was wrong.
Nobody deserves to be shot dead, but he deserved to be incarcerated until he wasn't a danger to society.

Here's an idea that's so crazy it just might work. Why not arrest Kinahan and arrest Hutch! I know they are hiding but if state armed forces can't flush out a pair of scumbags then they are at nothing.

While the Hutch side seems to have the more sympathy with the public because they are taking more casualties, both sides are scum and they fail to see that.

To be fair, that's not quite the whole story. The Hutch side have more sympathy because, according to several journalists who got their story in before anyone else after the Regency, the Kinahans killed Gary Hutch for basically no reason - and after attending an arbitration meeting of some sort, accepting money from the Hutches to call it quits, and promising not to go after them.

That kind of backstabbing betrayal is always going to garner sympathy for the betrayed side, generally regardless of the context. The way the story was painted in the days after the Regency was of the Kinahans being the type of people to shoot someone in the back after they've shaken hands and walked away.

I'm assigning this to journalists because obviously we have no idea how true any of that really is. But if the story is true, then the Kinahan side are indeed the bigger scumbags. In our culture and society, the idea of betraying somebody who has surrendered and shaken hands is pretty much as dishonourable as you can get - if it's true that they gave The Monk an absolute assurance that Gary Hutch would be left alone, and accepted a considerable cash settlement to close that deal, then their decision to take the money, give their word, and go off and have him shot regardless, makes them the considerably more malicious sounding of the two - again, because of the cultural context and the value our society puts on honouring one's word.

I don't like to take sides in this way simply because we don't know the veracity of any of these journalists' anonymous sources - for all we know, Gary Hutch went after Daniel Kinahan first and continued to go after him even after this deal was struck, which would make his murder less cold blooded in a lot of peoples' eyes. But if it's true that Daniel Kinahan started it, and then accepted money from Gary Hutch's family and gave them his word that he'd be left alone, well f*ck that.

This also assumes that people accept the journalists' version of the Regency shooting, which was that Daniel Kinahan was the main target and that David Byrne was shot as one of his right-hand men when the man himself couldn't be found in the venue.

Yeah, but come on! Drug dealers in betrayal shocker. You make out that after a deal is struck it can't be gone back on? These are drug dealers and murderers, their moral compasses aren't pointing in the right direction. Its irrelevant who the public have sympathy for, in fact i don't even think that exists for the Hutch's. Maybe the innocent Taxi Driver, people would feel sorry for him, but the rest? there comes a point in life when you have to accept the road you have gone down, 'lie with dogs, don't be shocked when you get fleas'.

The innocent taxi driver? Eddie who provided his own car for the regency shooters to leave st Vincent’s GAA club in? Or innocent Clive who was found to have €1 million euro cash and 342k in a bank lodgement.
