It's not rocket science. Introduce a card and systems to handle it would cost the government money, leaving less money to spend somewhere else for example housing.

    So, the answer is NO.

Then we have to take it as opinion.

Please don’t try and post opinion as fact.

I am not sure, but I tend not to make generalized sweeping statements and try and pass them off as fact.

Have a job, same place for the last 22 years. You sound very bitter and resentful. Can't be conducive to your well being. You should concentrate on yourself instead of wanting to visit misery on others.

They are words on a screen, I've no idea how i sound anything. My well being is perfectly fine. I was talking in general terms regarding people wanting comfort and happiness. Get a job, use your wages to improve your comfort and your happiness will rise too.

You come across as very bitter and petty to me. Not healthy tbh.

Repeating a lie doesn't make it true. Caught you out yesterday.

I asked you about the water tower there. Estate is a rough enough oul spot. Riddled with SW merchants. I'm sure you are from the higher echelons of the town so probably never saw the place in your life.

It's not a sweeping generalisation. The setting up of any cashless system comes at a cost. That is fact.

There is no water tower in Cherryfield ave. Which is why I know you're a liar.

If you are a long term doler, you shouldn't be able to afford a smartphone. If you can then the dole is too generous and should be cut. It should also be give in the form of a smart card that can only be used along with the persons SW card. Any shop found giving goods out to anyone other than the cardholder should be fined, same as they are for serving underage people alcohol. The card should also be restricted so that alcohol and cigarettes are not allowed to be purchased on it.

    Are u kim John Un?

Here we go all the same place in the Battery Estate. So if you knew the area you'd know its a big water tower basically a local landmark.

Hmmm, violent dictator vs someone who believes that social welfare should only provide the basics.

It should be a safety net, not a lifestyle choice.

There are heaps of posts on this thread where people are claiming welfare fraud is rampant because their cousin's neighbour's son is on the dole and has a nice car. If you have a problem with people stating speculation as fact you might want to start with those.

    Why?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 689 ✭✭✭atticu

Because those claims are just as baseless, if not more so, than the one you're taking issue with.

So, that would be to suit your agenda.

Not at all but if you think cards can be issued, an IT system put place to handle "welfare cash cards" with zero cost I can only assume you're being intentionally obtuse.

Repeatedly stating BS proves nothing. Although it is amusing that you think anything said here means anything.

Cherryfield Ave has only one entrance from the main road across a little bridge. No reason for you to be in there unless visiting someone. You claimed you were working there. I do know the place as I attended the national school and had to walk through this little estate to get to it and I know that the estate received an award just as Ashdale did. That is where all this nonsense has come out of including your bs claim of residents out drinking cans in the midday. Several of the tenants there are seving soldiers and ex soldiers. The army barracks is less than a 3 minute walk form Cherryfield.

In fairness it was about 2:30. I didn't notice any soldiers milling about the place. I was busy working and keeping an eye on the car at the same time.

The earlier point stands so. All council estates look like Armageddon! Took me a day to get you to concede but I got there even against a consummate liar. On to the next point!
