Anyone have a sense of what colour is best? People are saying the red is good, but never had the nerve to buy a red phone before. Anyone who had bought any colour poco by now care to comment?

I bought mine from Honorbuy on Saturday night. It's just arrived this afternoon, would have been here yesterday but DHL messed up. Can't wait to get home and test it out.

That's crazy fast! Out of curiosity, why did you pick honorbuy in the first place? Got in tax free I presume?

Yes I was stuck with an older phone so I was looking for somewhere with an EU warehouse. I tried a few amazon EU sites but they were more expensive and geekbuying didn't have the 128gb version from an EU warehouse. I checked reviews which seemed reasonably good for Honorbuy. I had no issue with customs which was good.

Looking to replace a smashed A1 so the Pocophone F1 6GB/128GB for €329 delivered inc taxe etc from eglobal looks to be the best deal currently available.

Any reason not to buy from them?

I'm thinking of cancelling the order and requesting a refund. Can this be done through paypal? Is it reasonable to do this after 3 weeks?

Have you talked to eglobal yet?

I'd say so, I got my phone in just over a week from eglobal.

I emailed them at 9 this morning.
"Processing delay" for 6 days, then in customs for 6 days, and now today we're back to "processing delays", I just don't trust them at this stage.

The whole container of stuff obviously got hit by the Customs officials. They will have to produce every piece of paper and pay every bit of Duty that is required before they let the shipment go. Your phone is waiting on everything else to be checked off before it's sent on.
Unfortunately it's the risk that is taken when they ship everything in big cargo containers like this. I was lucky I got mine within the specified time and the majority of the people I know who ordered through eglobal also got their phones on time. The funny thing is probably the next few shipments from them will also be on time because they have satisfied customers ...for now

Took the plunge and ordered it on honorbuy.

    Here's hoping :D

Will let you know how I get on.

so eglobal are basically sneaking everything in to the EU somewhere and avoiding EU member-country VAT all the time? Well I guess that is what they do as the prices are so low compared to everywhere else. I'm surprised that this hasn't happened more often tbh.

And there excuses continue, I did put a warning in the RN5[WHYRED] thread about that store. But you had already ordered from them, so didn't comment already.

See there track record on reddit here for horror stories and bad Customer support etc.

They once where a recommend store on Xiaomi Reddit, was removed, returned for about a few weeks and removed again after complaints from users.

Also it was holiday season in china over the last four days.

Yep big time, they love the Gray imports too...the fact that so many containers come in each time stuffed to the gills with confusing paperwork means that Customs simply cant catch them all. Eglobal (this time) will pay there dues owed and it will keep Customs happy for a while as they target the next importer. It's a game of cat and mouse, Eglobal (and so many others) will fully comply with the import laws and pay the full dues owed... but only from container to container.. if found out.

That's not a bad price, considering eGlobal is now 306.

But delivery is "1 to 3 weeks", and then when ordering is estimated as 22 Oct - 6 Nov.

Shipping to Ireland is 7.76, and the different VAT rate means the base price is 315.08. So it's €322.84 in total.

You'll find the vat rate less if you order through parcel wizard, delivery €3.85.

What about the limit imposed for a claim if it were to go "missing" in transit whilst in the care of PW?
    That's €100 max as far as I'm aware .
That's an added risk one would need to consider.

    From PW faq...
    LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Subject to these conditions, our liability to you for any loss or damage shall be limited to the following amounts:-

The replacement value of any goods or merchandise comprising all or part of the Consignment which are stolen, lost or damaged; OR
EUR €100 (one hundred euro) in respect of the whole Consignment,
whichever shall be the least, save that where applicable consumer protection law requires payment by us of a greater amount, our liability shall be limited to such greater amount.

Any claim made must be supported by such evidence of the value of the goods lost or damaged as we may require.

'Optimise performance to make it more fluid' and 'fix some bugs' so I wouldn't think so. I think you still have to change your region to India or China to get it working.

Eglobal haven't replied to my email from a week ago nor my email from 24 hours ago, I ordered the phone over 4 weeks ago, and their "updates" are useless.

Is it best to go after the money through a PayPal dispute?

I had insured shipping if that makes a difference...
