yea you can see the pothole when the cam car turns around

must have been dong some speed to take off like that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,533 ✭✭✭RobertFoster

I thought the blue car was going to be the star of the video the way it changed lanes at the start.

    Some pothole alright.

    I'm changing my pothole theory.
The lane position of the Mercedes doesn't match either wheel going into the pothole

To me, it now looks like a manhole cover blew underneath the Merc and launched it.
Also, it's a very circular looking pothole

    https://www.dumpert.nl/mediabase/7520833/121b5682/groningse_ambulance_in_rotterdam.html

Last part of an ambulance trip on august 16th
Baby born that day in Groningen with CHD had to be brought to the Sophia child hospital in Rotterdam to give it any chance of survival.

Last week the parents saw this clip on Dumpert and wrote an email that after 7 weeks the baby came finally home and was doing well.

    Jesus, that's emotional to watch.
You don't get much more A-lister than that.

Always good to hear a good news story..
Even though the city centre traffic appeared light, how well organised was that? Officers at every junction, patrol cars blocking traffic lanes, excellent work

That was exceptional in terms of planning, so kudos to all involved.

There is a great Dutch YouTube channel linked below that an ambulance driver setup. Very good insights into the thinking behind the driving, just turn on subtitles.

So he’d be a cyclist rather than a bicyclist

One of the first hospital run dashcams for those who haven't seen it before

In about 1995-96 my uncles friend needed a kidney transplant. He was in Holland on an exchange with dialysis patients from their.

His beeper went off to say a kidney was waiting in Dublin for him.

The Queen of Holland gave her private jet to fly him home. The plane stopped on the runway and he was put in an ambulance.

With the help of 50 Garda bikes and cars they made it from the runway in Dublin to the Mater hospital in 5 and a half minutes at 4pm on a Thursday evening.

Cops get a lot of abuse but they rarely get praise for stuff like above.

Now show us the ones where there's heavy traffic, or on rural irish roads. It can be fun but hairy at times. I don't think I'd get away with filming it :P.

M50 is a very dangerous place.
Happened to me last night around midnight.
Drunk or overdosed driver almost hit me and other van.

I can assure you traffic is never light in Rotterdam.
The very last part, a couple of 100 meters before entering the hospital, they have to go over the main inner city north - south road which any time of the day is busy.

I once had the pleasure to be on of the last cars being let on that road when they were also escorting an ambulance when i was working in the north of the city but lived in the south. identical set up, every crossing blocked with police spurring me on to go faster.
On a weekday afternoon at 6pm doing 120 km/h where i could was fun and it was my quickest commute ever.

Looks like that's northbound? Time tallies with the time and location in this story, but I can't really make out the car

Crashed car looks like a Passat CC in the Garda video.

Yeah, I just had a look at the end of the video there, rear light clusters don't seem to match.

In the M50 video, was that a garda Hyundai tailing it after it almost hit the poster?

It looks like a VW Passat or CC maybe in that. Where as the video has a 2 door BMW 3 series, maybe e90 generation but it could be newer.

Madness, I would definitely be reporting this to the Gardai. Extremely dangerous driving.
Don't think that was a unmarked Garda car following him either. If it was, shame on them for allowing him continue to nearly crash numerous times possibly injuring some innocent person.
