Also, they don't inherit the points from Sahara Force India"

Racing Point Force India F1. Sure does roll off the tongue.

What an absolute nightmare of an outcome to lose all the points. Thanks to the legal disaster that VJ created. I'm sure the people at the team will be happy to still have their jobs but how disheartening must it be to have no constructors points for all the effort so far this season. Reforming the revenue distribution model should be a priority for Liberty to avoid stuff like this. It's embarrassing for the sport

Can they (RPFIF1) score points from Belgium onwards or how does it work.

    Yes, they are eligible to score points immediately. The difference will be in their revenue entitlements for prize money etc;

Wondering if a driver reshuffling will happen as predicted. Still think that "not force India" would have been a better name

At least Williams aren't last in the Constructors Championship now.

That’ll change again after Monza at the latest.

I would imagine that Racing Point Force India will change to Racing Point next year.

It makes me wonder what the point is in them racing.

''Force Racing'' would have been a better name.

It’s a bit like the BMW Sauber Ferrari of 2010. They couldn’t drop the BMW name until the end of 2010.

Surely they are still last as the original force India gets to keep their points? But the new force India starts from scratch?

Should have called it Delta Force India. No one would mess with them.

Also it will be hilarious when they overtake a few of the other lower teams happy with their situation.

No because the original force India entry are excluded from the championship

Lando Norris setting a faster time then Vandoorne while on Medium Compounds compared to Stoffel's soft compound. I really think they should bring him into the fold next year and not just a FP1 every couple of weekends.

You might be right but we can’t base anything on FP times.

TBF vandoorne hasn’t lived up to his reputation. I’d say McLaren will do what they can to get a British driver in the team. They aren’t the most attractive to sponsors with the bad publicity over the last 4 years.

If he’s ready I’d say they will promote him.

So that shows how mediocre vandoorne is.
Him, Stroll, Hartley, Sirotkin, Ericson and a couple of others are lucky to be anywhere near the F1 grid tbh

DiResta would probably outrace them all. As would Kubica.

No because that team does not exist anymore it went bankrupt and was bought while in administration by this new consortium. It's a bit like how House of Fraser in Britain went bankrupt recently and was bought by Mike Ashley's Sports World Company.

    Because it went bankrupt.

That's a little harsh. Vandoorne did not get a proper run he was having brake problems with his car.

No it does not as Vandoorne had brake problems with his car so never got to do some decent laps and had less laps that Lando.

As for DiResta I never liked him. Found him very boring, always moaning which is a typical British trait and he never performed as good as he said he could. I was delighted the day he stopped racing in F1.

Also Vandoorne car had a leak towards the end of session as well

I always thought DiResta's time was cut too short, but I've argued this a lot so wont go over it again.

Was a decent racer who deserved a spot over many given chances ahead of him.

Why didn't they just call it "Sahara F1"? That would've been cool.

Lance Force. Since the team was bought to guarantee him a drive.

Imagine how uncomfortable it will be for Perez next year.

BBC chequered flag podcast reckon Perez put the team into administration so he must have had a deal to guarantee himself a drive with the new owners. Otherwise he was potentially out of a job by the Belgium gp

Yeah he did put them into it.

Because unless Sahara are putting money into the team they don't want to give a company free sponsorship.

Or they could have just kept it simple and called it ''Force F1''.

Should just call it Jordan Midland Spyker Force India Racing Point

Unfortunately it's not a continuation of the Jordan Midland Spyker Force India entity though.

I think Force Stroll says it all really, the way it just rolls off the tongue (For Stroll)

Force Troll is better and sounds much more like For Stroll.
