    Just over an hour now.

I played Hollow Knight for 4 hours the other day on full brightness and still had 40% left.

Does your switch get very hot at the back?

The odd time it would, last time it happened was playing Fortnite after an hour and a half but the fans kicked in then.

It entirely depends on the game. Something like Ys or Zelda would be fairly intensive on the processor so you won't get as long as you would with a game like Hollow Night.

Lowering the brightness can help battery life a bit

How long are ye getting out of the switch undocked? I've been playing ys and it's down to 70 per cent already, does this sound right? It gets very warm to when I play undocked!

Sounds the same as mine playing* ys

*I'm getting tired of all the story video now, just let me beat up stuff!

Has anyone bought or played Moto GP 18 on Switch? Seriously tempted by it as i love a good sim racer. I know it has no online or local multiplayer but are there many single player modes to keep someone entertained?

Paladins is a pretty good Overwatch substitute for now. Not a bad game at all

I have to send another left joycon in to be fixed now as well. 3 sets in a row have this stupid issue where it always drifts to the left without any input from me. It's getting pretty tiresome at this stage.

Digital Foundry have a Switch mod that will allow video captures from portable mode.

    Pay day tomorrow. :D

So, i eventually picked one up. Traded my Xbox One S with a bunch of games and got it for 100euro and they threw in a 15euro eshop card and spare power adapter. Picked up Mario Odessey and Zelda. Enjoying it so far.

I'm in the mood for a Metroidvania game... I've seen Hollow Knight mentioned here a few times, always in a positive light. The only thing that's holding me back is the difficulty. So, how hard is it? Say, compared to DK: Tropical Freeze.

(Also considering Yoku's Island Express and keeping an eye on Dead Cells.)

It's not that hard. Once you pick up a few charms and unlock a few abilities you'll be flying through it.

Is is really hard (in places) but you will get so much from the game

I have 34h logged and am not a great gamer

It really isn't hard, if you have a little patience and don't try and attack when you clearly shouldn't it's very manageable. I've nearly 40 hours now.

Having fought Traitor Lord for about 2 hours now, it is hard in places

But for the money, it is the best value on the Switch

I haven't come to him yet. Did the first two Coliseum trials last night. Got killed on the last round three times in the second Trial because I got to aggressive and tried attacking when I shouldn't.

My left joycon wouldn't connect earlier, handheld mode. Had noticed recently it can pop out without using the release too. Seems ok now but is there a fix?

Just finished Yoku's Island Express and loved it. It's short though, took about 6-7 hours to finish the story. Have about 65% of everything else done.

Ok, ye peaked my interest in hollow knight but I can't make head nor tail of it at the moment. Bought the map from cartographer guy but that's it. I seem to be meandering from one place to the next.

Bit of a salt and sanctuary feel but more polished.

If you get lost the guy in Dirtmouth will give little clues as to where to go next. Are you still in Forgotten Crossroads? Keep exploring there for the minute, plenty to find and keep an eye out for areas that you can't access as you'll come back to them later.

Each area has a different look to it so you'll know if you wander into a new area.

Same as mine. If i push it up it pops off. Only once ran into issues with it not connecting after i dropped my switch. A full reset fixed it but my heart was in my mouth.

Thanks for the tips. It's a bit interesting anyway. Finally got enough coins to buy some thing. Don't know whether the quill or the compass. I'm a bit short for the latter.

Football Manager is the game that has really brought the Switch alive for me. God, it's addictive on PC, but handheld? It's insane.

Hammered the shıte out of it for the last month. Won the league with Limerick twice in four seasons, winning 10 trophies all told. Just got knocked out on goal difference to Celtic in the Champions League Group stage playoff. I had been leading at one stage in the game and had drawn with them away in Celtic Park :D

Yeah, seems ok since but wonder should I do something while still in warranty, is it likely to get worse?

Just finished Hollow knight, 73h, made for the switch.
