    Something about sandwiches

I bought a 128gb micro SD card around Christmas time, lately my data keeps getting corrupted.. I redownload then the following week corrupted again, would I be fit to leave it back and get a replacement? Purchased online so would have record of purchase there ..

Just an FYI, if u buy a fake SD card, eg 128gb, they actually send u a smaller one, eg 32gb, and reprogram the chip to report its 128gb. However, when u go over the 32gb, you'll notice it simply starts deleting random files. I never had a fake one so never witnessed it in action. It may seem the files are corrupted, or simply gone. Not sure, but it's become rampant lately with online shops, even Amazon. There's a tool u can get online to find out for sure but can't think of it offhand. Not saying that's ur issue, or trying to scare u, but keep it in mind.

Will we ever see a Mother game released for the switch?

Having fought Traitor Lord for about 2 hours now, it is hard in places

But for the money, it is the best value on the Switch

Killed Traitor Lord on my 5th go tonight. Died about 10 times on the run from the bench to the boss though :pac:

Fair play. Do u have the dream gate? Great for before boss fights

Finished it the other day (or at least one of the endings). My favourite game for the Switch

Is that a charm? I'm only missing 3 but definitely don't have that.

Usually use Stalwart Shell, Sharp Shadow, Quick Focus, Long Nail, and Grubsong/Thorns of Agony when doing bosses.

    You get it by collecting
    essence with the Dream Nail

I've 900 essence now. I got a charm off that guy last time I spoke to him that charges dream nail faster.

I think it's the next upgrade

    Very much worth getting

    I probably need 1000 essence I'd say.

It's an excellent game and so much value for €15.

I know its isn't a new game but many of us are playing it for the first time, given its the general Switch thread and not even the games one I think the posts are a bit much. I skimmed most once I realised what ye were on about but a warning in the first post could save someone evening

It is a brilliant brilliant game , enjoy it

I am missing it already..... Think the next few games will struggle in comparison.

Forgot to say I purchased it from GameStop so I highly doubt they would get away with selling fakes?

Have you removed the card at all? Ever?

When you remove it, are you making sure the console is powered OFF completely and not in Sleep mode. It should be off for removing a card.

If you are powering it down each time and its still happening, try cleaning the port with some air, wiping the card contacts and reinserting it while the console is completely powered down. Card might be unmounting for some reason

Failing that, you might just have had bad luck and got a bad card. Doesn't have to be fake to be bad but you should get some satisfaction from GS anyway.

The video isn't limited to the Switch, but great to see that Okami performs well on Switch.

Okami is great but it does feel like a bit of a gameplay throwback, to the days of Devil May Cry and being locked into an area until you defeat X amount of enemies.
X=Y+the number of enemies it took to escape after it became tiresome.

    Anyone playing Overcooked 2?

I've it bought but have nobody to play it with as the other half is away and it's no fun playing alone!!

Isn't the point of Overcooked 2 that you can play online in exactly that situation?

Can't buy it myself, the first one (which I am required to refer to as "cook-about" for some reason) is banned in my house because of the fights and screams that ensue.

Same. The kitchen fires caused so many arguments and pointy finger accusations.

Is the pro controller worth it guys?

I probably play hooked up to the TV 80% of the time and whilst I don't mind the feel of the joycons when they're in their socket, the connection to the Switch which is about 5 metres away is awful and constantly cuts out unless I'm pointing them directly at it. I'd definitely get the pro controller if it was a bit cheaper.

I love my pro controller. Best way to play when you're playing docked.
I was annoyed that it took me more than 6 months after getting the switch to get one.

FYI there are officially licensed wired compromises (from €25-€30)

    https://www.smythstoys.com/ie/en-ie/search/?text=switch+controller

Also in Argos, but a little bit more expensive.

I had the Switch since launch, and I only bought a Pro Controller recently. I had most of my time undocked, and when docked, I found the joycons fine for 99% of games, but a couple they were awkward for. I bit the bullet a couple of weeks ago, and I'm glad I did. It's definitely worth it, long term, though it is about 20quid overpriced.

That's me sold, thanks all. Works out as around €62 on amazon which isn't so bad I guess.

Hope this the right forum but my sons switch won’t connect to WiFi. Started with the Home WiFi, just no connection. Tried to delete it and nothing. Search for new connection and nothing appears. He took it to his friends house where he previously used it and doesn’t work either.

From google it appears to be an issue. Have tried turning it one and off, tried turning the WiFi box off and restarting but nothing worked.

Any ideas out there? Seen online talk of a hard reboot but he’d lose what was on the switch for this?

I’m not very technical minded but any helpful Appreciated.

A reboot is just fully shutting the Switch down and turning it on again.

There's a little button the top of the Switch, beside the volume controls. Holding it will give the option to turn the Switch off. Doing so and then turning back on with the same button might help.

I so rarely turn my Switch off, when a problem arises, it's definitely not the first thing that comes to mind but is usually the thing that works.
