Not so, checked all day and today and family tickets only available in 301, 302, 310-313

    I got some 308.
    Really? At what time??

6 minutes past 3 to be exact! They kept changing the sections so I kept refreshing. They were moving between 308, 302 and 311 and when the seats went high enough up in 308 (double letters) I bought them then.

Clubs will definitely be getting family tickets too but no guarantee they'll be good unfortunately although, based on the Munster Final anyway, the full price tickets should be very good.

It's such a pain that tickets.ie doesn't allow you to pick your seats like ticketmaster does

The lack of fees is a nice bonus though.

Semi finals are a great way for clubs to give juveniles the Croke Park experience as you can forget about getting any final tickets.
The GAA do some great promotions for clubs bringing young teams to the game.
Its easy to whinge about the Croke park crowd but they do a good job

From which set of double letters are you covered, should it rain?

I'm not sure of that now to be honest.

At this stage a full allocation for both county boards would be held back, there's probably 10k put aside for each at this stage, once those have been sent out there'll be decent ones available. Personally I think it madness not buying your ticket from your local club at this stage, if we qualify for the final there won't be any tickets on public sale so you'll have to get them from the clubs.

But you mightn't be able to choose which stand you want with your club tickets. Personally, I prefer the Hogan Stand. That's why I bought them off tickets.ie.

When buying online how do you see what section the tickets are for? Or can you

You cant pick your section but they tell you seat/section no. Before you make payment.

You can't. Just select the stand/level you want and after that its whatever is offered back to you. What is available varies as the week goes on. For example, on Mon was just Cusack/Hogan lower / Hill, Tues Davin lower was added, Wed Cusack upper was added.

How come they can't just let people pick the section they want, what's the logic behind it?
Like if they open up the lower sections all around anyway from the get go, what difference does it make if people choose their seats.

The majority of lower section is allocated to the clubs. Some of these sections maybe come available nxt week if Clubs return tickets .

Maybe the internet stampede to get the best tickets would overload the servers. More controlled this way.

When are the club tickets returned?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 162 ✭✭junebabies

Clubs were only getting their allocation yesterday. Id imagine it will be mon/tue before there is returns.

If ye supported Clare more often ye might understand how online bookings for tickets work. Ye all worried now but when it cameto a 1/4 final it was too much effort to go,

Given that most on-street parking will have a 2-hour limit, and it is a busy shopping day, where is best to park around Croke Park for a Saturday game?

What's this Ye business? You sound like a character in Blackadder.

    Salty Much..
No need to be an ass about people asking genuine questions.. Maybe they have a general interest in hurling and see this as there first chance to get to Croke park...
I've a few friends who only started following hurling in the last two years and don't go to games as they aren't familiar with a lot of GAA grounds (but they know Croke Park) or have work commitments/ family commitments.. So maybe the ass should climb down off the high horse and offer something constructive..

Edit: As it's a Saturday, consider parking in the city Jarvis or Q-Park, and take it easy heading home, go for dinner or a pint after the game and let the traffic head away before you

Bringing my 7yr old to the game. She is wild excited about it. Her first game in Croke Park.....should be good fun! Might do that parking plan.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,566 ✭✭✭finbarrk

I'd say to park at the Red Cow Luas car park, and get the Luas to Connolly, and walk to the stadium from there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 162 ✭✭junebabies

You can park in clonliff college , that where we have parked previously. Getting train this weekend though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 957 ✭✭✭BloodyBill

This is a tad embarrassing. All Clare posters want to do here is talk about parking. Why do Clare supporters not take the train if you are so concerned. Also a genuine question..how come Clare supporters never hang around after a game..It's like watching an exodus. Most other Munster counties hang around and enjoy the after game stuff. Clare are usually back around the 'badlands ' of mid Clare before other counties have left the stadium environs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 162 ✭✭junebabies

There is no train back to Clare after the match. We are getting train from Limerick.
I disagree we are usually last to leave personally.
Funny enough we were saying that about Cork fans after the munster final, the amount of cork fans who didn't wait to watch their team receive the cup was astonishing!!
