Mrs G had another baked spud tonight topped off with a chicken and sweetcorn in mayo mix. Made it earlier. Side salad too. Little G had a chicken fillet, mash and gravy. All happy. I'm not bothered cooking anything else tonight. Had a snickers. Skipping dinner as I didn't fancy what they had. I'm just realizing that I cannot remember the last time I had a home cooked meal handed up to me. While I often have work related hotel/pub meals, it's just not the same. Not what I really want on the menu. Takeaways are just fillers if your busy with work or on the beer. Utter crap.

Right now, I'd love a cottage pie, gravy and peas. Maybe even a beef stew over roasties or mash. I've lots of faves that I don't make as its not wanted by the ladies in my life. To get handed up a fave dish at home would be like winning the lotto!

Well if you ever come over here.. That is a promise!

And I know how you feel as I never get a meal cooked for me...or even a cup of coffee... Probably why I enjoy the ready meals so much,as I do...even worse for me is not having a chance to cook for someone. That is hard too.. go on; make it for thee!

IS this my fault yattering on re cottage pie!

Ah I just want to cook for the two G's. I love cooking for other people. Although I suspect one G might be a bit too suspicious of whatever food I make and the other disappointed with the lack of beef :D

    Chips. Veg Kofta. Sriracha mayonnaise.

Gotcha! Beef would be nice, but I understand.:D

Tonight, ya couldn't make this up. I BBQ'D for 15 people. A mixture of steaks, burgers, wedges, chicken fillets, .with mushrooms and onions steamed up/caramelised in the little tinfoil pot. Knackered tired. I was pre committed. Cooked to order as well. Thankfully I'm now tipsy as fook and home. Girls were ahead of me. I hate BBQ food, but the gang I cooked for loved it.

I realy need to rethink things.:D

We were out for dinner on Thursday. Friday I can't remember what we had. Saturday we had Eddie rockets and then a bag of chipper chips. Today I had Burger King, birthday cake, chocolate, chip sambos. I've spend the past few months loosing nearly a stone, im guessing I've put on half that again over the weekend!

    Vanilla slice and black coffee

Never yet found a vanilla slice that is anything like the ones from my Lancashire youth. Gave up buying as they were always a disappointment.. ah well! "Age and forgetfulness sweeten memory." (T.S.Eliot) Wish I had one now..
