Mrs G had another baked spud tonight topped off with a chicken and sweetcorn in mayo mix. Made it earlier. Side salad too. Little G had a chicken fillet, mash and gravy. All happy. I'm not bothered cooking anything else tonight. Had a snickers. Skipping dinner as I didn't fancy what they had. I'm just realizing that I cannot remember the last time I had a home cooked meal handed up to me. While I often have work related hotel/pub meals, it's just not the same. Not what I really want on the menu. Takeaways are just fillers if your busy with work or on the beer. Utter crap.

Right now, I'd love a cottage pie, gravy and peas. Maybe even a beef stew over roasties or mash. I've lots of faves that I don't make as its not wanted by the ladies in my life. To get handed up a fave dish at home would be like winning the lotto!

Mr G would you not make a few portions and freeze. My diet would be different from my gentlemens diet (I'm veggie, they're not) so I'd often batch cook for myself so when they're having something I don't eat I can just reheat.

I had a frozen burger from Iceland last night. One of their nacho burgers. It. Was. Amazing. Various beans and a cheesy jalapeño sauce coated in crushed nachos on a bun with mashed avocado. Honestly. Even if you eat meat this is worth a try. I tend not to do ready made things. I'll be having this again.

Tonight we're eating out. Stuffed mushrooms (spinach and blue cheese) with chips.

    Prefered the burger tbh.

    That sounds amazing.
I’m drinking a glass of water before bed.

aah, that's sad and unfair. why do you have to do all the cooking and then not even get to do the things you like from time to time? Why can't Mrs. G cook also? I would go on strike!:D

You might regret that when myself and a certain Barry’s tea drinker rock up to your door :D
I can keep you in cake and other baked goods if that seems appealing at all? :)

I’m still sipping water. I really should head to bed though :(
