Good week, finished 17 under for joint 11th place with two others, 5 shots behind the winner

Up to 90th on the FedEx rankings. Decent week especially with his putting, driving accuracy was poor

How much money for that finish?

Good to see him have a solid weekend. First time he's really done that when near the top of the leaderboard.

Very steady after 1st round. Just 1 bogey for 72 holes.

Putted seriously well in rd 4 if shotlink is anything to go by. Great to see him cash a big cheque early.

If Seamus could sort out the driver he'd be leading

Solid -3 today on what is regarded as the tougher of the 2 courses although having just seen Rose and Shane’s interview the north course playing tougher this year

Was hanging in therthere but bogied last to miss the cut. Harrington and Lowry cut too.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,080 ✭✭✭billy3sheets

He's not going to want to see Spyglass Hill for a long time again. 6 over for 13 after a run of 6 bogies and a double!

Currently (6 p.m. Tue.) listed as #6 alternate for the Genesis Open.

Lowry, McDowell, Paddy H. and McIlroy in the field. And Tiger.

    Harrington and GMac gone too.

I wonder has he seen a sports psychologist. Bogeying the last 2 wasn't a coincidence, he needed 2 pars to stay in. He bogeyed his last hole in Wells fargo on the Friday, only to get lucky that the cut moved out another shot. It must be the pressure. I'd love to see him do well, he clearly has the game, just not the head for it just yet.

Super round today to be leading alone on - 5. Really needs a big week here after that start as he's having a very poor year so far

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,070 ✭✭✭bigtimecharlie

He's 126 on the FedEx cup standings. $450k in money. Needs a good week to secure his card for next year. At least a top 10 at a minimum.

Best thing about it is he had to play the Monday qualifier, including a six hole playoff just to get an alternate spot

Was that not a US Open qualifier? Either way, great round and lets hope he can keep it up. He has missed a lot of cuts this year especially compared to last, when his R1&R2 scoring was fantastic. He was very unlucky IMO not to make the regular season top 125. He seems well suited to the PGATOUR though and hopefully a couple of good finishes will see him well into the top 125 and beyond.

Yes Monday was US Open qualifier

Up there again and seems to be playing well.. he really needs to focus and steadying the ship at weekend, he will have to turn bad rounds into ok ones and at least shoot par on a bad day.

The narrower a man’s mind, the broader his statements.

Rosary beads at the ready...Seamie must decide whether or not he wants to make a living out of golf. This is a great chance for him....but..

Seems to be a trait of the Irish lads to double bogey the last hole of the day. Very frustrating considering how well he was doing. Hopefully he can get at least a top 20 finish here.

Was +3 after 14 holes yesterday. Now -4 after 27 holes

What a crazy comment. Prize money of $620k this season. Even if 80% of that was gone in costs I reckon he'd be managing to eek out a living from his golf!!

In fairness, he wrote that before his two strong finishes in the last 2 weeks

    Another ok performance this week.
Won about $16k and slipped 3 places in FedEx rankings to 122.
Made the cut but again his Sat & Sun rounds are not as good as the Thu & Fri ones. This happens nearly all tournaments.

Could it be that he’s just simply not good enough....no shame in that as it’s a highly competitive tour.

If he wasn’t good enough he wouldn’t have got his card twice and currently be inside the top 125 to keep his card.
