Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Oh, you're a member of that religion. That explains it.

I'm not religious. I just hate intolerance in any form.

    Hmmm.....

Ah no, I don't mind if he subscribes to that religion.

Good for you. Will you go back to the toilet for a nice **** if you hear about some disappointed 70 year old lady who'd love to attend can't attend because you dishonestly took a ticket she could have used?

Hey,if that's how you get your jollies, then who am I to judge

Appears to be a lot of sad bastards who'd go to the bother to apply for free tickets to something in the hope of denying the opportunity to attend for someone who might really like to go.

What a miserable shower of cunts

That's not what it's about, it's a form of protest.

Ah no the LGBT religion accepts straight people too. Apologies for dismissing you earlier. People who subscribe to the LGBT religion can't help their intolerance.

I'm not religious. I just hate intolerance in any form.

But why should someone tolerate the habitual abuse of and covering up of abuse of children? Or the imprisoning of 'fallen' women & sale of their children? Or the cruelty shown to gay people? You are not asking for tolerance - you are asking for blind acceptance of criminality. Many people find the RCC distasteful at best and I think protesting their continuing status as some kind of moral guides is fair enough. I won't be ordering tickets or attending but I can totally see why people would be motivated to order them and not show up or protest the visit.

Ah it's not. What is it a protest against? Will you be able to look at each empty space and say why that person did not come?

    It's just lazy arseholes

If you want to protest, go make up a banner and stand outside the event.

It's just about denying something to someone else that might make the other person happy.

The only valid protest related to tickets is not to attend if you don't want to.

I will be doing just that, 1 person asked for a ticket so I now have DRUMROLL 46 tickets left.

    My partner has 48.

Well if enough boardsies reserve 12 tickets each, then we'll have a fairly good idea why they all didn't attend.

Bit of a pointless form of protest though. A few empty seats or protesters dotted around the place, among a crowd of 500,000 isn't going to do much.

Touting implies wanting to sell the tickets for some sort of profit. Fairly certain the intention here is to stop people ever getting their hands on tickets.

Not at all ticket touts seek to profit by the reselling of tickets. The four tickets I ordered will be destroyed as will any others I get. Going to set up a few more email addresses and order as many as I can.

Are there really people ordering x amount of tickets, just to deny others being able to go? That's not a protest, it's just being a dick.

Hopefully when they start sending out the tickets, they notice the multiple orders from the same IP and cancel them.

Surprised Boards.ie are allowing this to be used to exchange tickets in this fashion.,

I see no issue with this kind of protest tbh. It's legal, peaceful and ethical. And it makes a statement.

Some people on this thread don't seem to realise that by ordering tickets as some form of protest that it's ordinary people who just want to see they pope and are probably looking forward to the day that they are getting at instead of the man himself.

These people had nothing to do with the abuse that went on, they are just ordinary Catholics.

It's a really cuntish thing to do IMO,

Yeah I kinda do. I wouldnt mind seeing the Pope for the experience, but ive no intention of waiting around 5 hours or more. SO ill have a BBQ that day weather permitting.

I just feel its a really d1ckish move, and only polarises people. Its not a form of protest. Its just the no.1 method of truly acting like a a$$hole.

The only statement I see it making is not against child abuse, or other many crimes of the church, just see it as a way of atheists or anti Catholics giving another smug finger to 'stick it' to the church.

Also, wonder if this will start off a trend. Some far left speaker comes to Ireland, free tickets, so all the conservatives gobble them up, throw in the big, to stick it to the lefties, just creates tit for tat.
