There is an audio note going around (might be fake) by one of his family members.

I don’t want to add to further speculation but it is fairly gripping.

Em can you expand on that...?

That cop that blew the brains out the back of this scumbags skull should be allowed retire and bask in his great work for the rest of his life.

In reality he will probably need counselling and have his wages cut off after a few weeks of absence.

Awful news. I'd cycle those lanes solo quite regularly so this hits quite close. We'll likely never know what happened here completely.

RIP Jastine. My thoughts are with her family, the Hennessy family and the Garda involved.

There are also photos and videos doing the rounds of the deceased male suspect collecting the infamous Nissan from a certain dealership in Bray!

Not you but the whole central theme today has been about smearing the Garda w/o any facts of what occurred in the car park.

And, as you have just said, you are not clear the details of what the witness actually seen.. ........ bar the gung ho gamble on a headline press

To the first part; dont lump me in with them so

To the second part; I never said that.

    There was CLEAR reporting

"The terrifying events unfolded after Ms Valdez was bundled into the boot of a car in Enniskerry, Co Wicklow, on Saturday.

An eyewitness rang gardaí, and gardaí received a second report about an hour later by another witness who saw a woman in a distressed state in the back of a vehicle."

Reported widely accross the media. Infact there are other reports that go into more detail on both calls (that are known) made.

Whatever about the shooting, questions are already being asked which has caused unnecessary speculation about what happened between the first report on the side of the road to the second report on the N11 and in general what action was taken on foot of those two phone calls alone.

GSOC will no doubt thoroughly investigate this as there are many questions about what happened between 5pm and 11pm on Saturday.

Keep up. You aren't even following the "facts" the poster was stating and the questions I was posing in response.

I’d rather not out of respect for all involved.

I’ve had about 5 people PM me asking the same.

I can't help thinking of Deirdre Jacob. She disappeared in broad daylight and was never seen again. Probably similarly bundled into a car and murdered.

It's easy to say what you'd do if you saw what happened. The reality is that most people go about their business and bystander effect takes hold and they do nothing in these situations. I see it pretty often on the Luas. Someone being harassed or verbally assaulted or some scumbag crossing the line and people sit there and look out the window.

That is different as intervening in that scenario means putting themslves in harms way (although if some male scumbag was threatening a female passenger I would definitely intervene) We are asking the person to follow the car and stay on the phone to the guards when a woman is clearly in distress.

No idea. I presume it is the video many are talking about that they saw on whatsapp.

He seems to have hidden her well in thick undergrowth according to RTE news. I wonder had he sussed out the place beforehand or was he just very familiar with the area anyway.

When's that supposed to be? I don't see any day mentioned in the article so it could be a month ago or a three years ago.

Strange that someone was just recording him like that, were they expecting him to act strangely or something, even if it wasn’t recent

You make it sound like her death is somehow the person's fault that called in what they saw. I think that's incredibly unfair. Is it known if it was a man or woman? Maybe there were children in the car.

It was a man in the car not that it matters. I am not asking the driver to pull out in front of the car and intervene for **** sake. I am asking the driver to follow the car and give the guards updates on its location until they arrived. Its hardly askign someone to be heroic.

I followed your questioning of the poster.
Where did you hear that? The public weren't exposed to that level of information.

The general public were exposed to that level of detail.

It is YOU that needs to keep up. I've been following the story in detail.

And yes, they hold first communions on Sundays.

It's not remotely strange. People record anything at the drop of a hat nowadays.

If it wasn't for what is now known about the guy, nothing in those videos would merit a second glance.

No Garda report that I came across said

"She was banging on the rear window screaming" which clearly was highlighted.

And how was he to know the guy didn't have a gun with him.? It's very easy to be all macho after the event.

And if this incident had not been seen by a witness he just might have also got away with it . The Gardai are saying she was found in very dense gorse so also might never have been found .
Altough its only a small consolation at least her family have her back and can grieve

He seems like a right creep and socially awkward.

Even the fake laughing acting like he was in on the joke when it was clear no one was even tlaking to him and the two girls beside him were ignoring him was odd.

I reckon the guy was recording him because he is such an embarassing creep on nights out.

I feel so bad for that girl. Imagine that creep dragging you up at night to a disused golf course.

It just seems so unfair that a witness saw her attacked, witnesses saw her in the car in distress, that the attackers identity and car reg was made known relatively quickly , all in a very short space of time, and she still didnt get to live :(

This isnt America. You don't instantly think someone has a gun.

and macho?!?! following a car safely in your own car is being macho now?!?! jesus christ...

Have been thinking of that myself. He probably had it all planned out - maybe it wasnt even the first time he'd done it...Was probably planning on goin home to the wife afterwards to live happy family life as normal -- then someone comes along and sees it happening. A witness he hadnt banked on and suddenly he's fcuked - thk God. I just wish it had been a better outvome for the poor girl, RIP.
