Realising I have a clear empty week ahead, actually until after the May holiday... BLISS even for me..

    Want to bet that changes?

But the thought is wonderful... Well stocked with food etc, plenty of ideas and work for my hands.. Seeds to sow... Seeking fine wire, like fuse wire, as I want to bead some work... I was sent a huge bag of fascinating assorted beads... need wire..

As for phones; cannot find the number so I cannot top up online. Maddening. And no I cannot text of course; do not know how!

I do have plan b ;) Watch this space ( I am on pay as you go with tesco but cannot get there)

Tesco Mobile have a presence here, they may be able to assist you. Though perhaps not, if you don't know your number.

The deep silence that is more than the absence of sound, a quality of life

A way of life I would love dearly but can only nibble the edges of... Makes me happy to see it lived fully..

It was such a nice day today so we spent a good chunk of it doing PE and running around. We also found a duck and 13 chicks in the yard! It was very cute :)

When I changed to sitting at the gate today a neighbour came along the lane with his dog. We waved and exchanged greetings. Such a small simple thing, yet, here, so meaningful and happy-making. So thankful to be here, safe.

A lovely news filled letter came today from an old friend in the UK. Full of detail - plans for projects, news of mutual friends, and prospects of a meet up. I enjoy real old fashioned handwritten letters. I just have to draft a reply now.

When doing a bit of shopping in Tesco and the total comes to like €29.89 or something so I can use contactless.

    Also, fast self service machines.

    Enjoy.

We're off tomorrow too - well, actually, the electricity's off, so I think an away day is called for.

    You too.

Hopefully the electricity won't be off for too long :)

Had to think about this! Bad night and nasty weather but very happy to be safe indoors and that I can snuggle down and go back to sleep.

It was my birthday, and I got a great book on Vivien Maier (photographer) from my husband (that I had accidentally opened while being nosy wondering what the hell he was getting a book from amazon for 2 weeks ago but that's beside the point.:o:o)(He doesn't read)(I don't open his other parcels I swear).
It's so precious, photography is so inspiring, you'd go back to it again and again, it's like a box of chocolates that never finishes.

I also got money off my MIL, and I am going to spend it at the garden center. Cos' I'm optimistic like that, the good days are due back.

Someone messaged me Hey Sweaty! :D:D It was funny at the time! :D:o:pac:

Oh! And I found about €4 in Coin and small change this evening that I had crumpled up in something under Books and other crap that reside on my Couch from a good while ago that I had totally forgotten about!

Happy seeing my cats and dog healthily hungry as I cut up raw chicken for them first thing,, Big boy stands on the chair behind me, tapping me with his paw and calling me names,,

Speaking of birthdays I just heard they have created a public holiday for mine !

Makes me realise most of the sh#t I chase around for everyday actually means feck all. Reading them always leaves me with a warm feeling inside.

A good day; I think the fire is lit and thriving. Good hand cut turf and I know the folk who cut it and gave it , so, working on another scarf with that evocative aroma wafting through.. Safe from the stormy wind .. watching youtubes, Witchie might know where I have just "been"? Zanzskar.

Such a wind out there for the second day..

The lawn was in much need of a cut but the rain last night left is very wet. Sun came out, breeze picked up and I decided to risk it. Even to get a piece of it done would be a bonus. Began more in hope and desperation than expectation, with dark clouds drifting in. Lo and behold the sun kept shining and it was drier than I thought. All cut. All happy.

The gale has eased and there is a soft, eloquent silence. Ahhhhh ! Another day tomorrow... Waiting for "the boys" to come home then will snuggle.. Hopefully the dog and I will head for the shore in he early light to gather seaweed for the garden, Happy thought to sleep on. ;)

Thanks for all the birthday wishes everyone :)

TH I am free to go to the garden centre tomorrow and if the weather is fine, to do a bit of gardening outside after. I might even squeeze in a little photo shoot, that would make it a perfect day.
