    Second episode was excellent!
It is really hitting the heights of peak the good wife imo.
Plus love some Judge Abernathy :)

Fingers crossed for Elsbeth Tascioni in this series

Judge Abernathy is the business, always happy to see him.

One episode from finishing season 1 and loving it. The writing is just so good (don't care for Maia or her storyline though)

Mrs John Snow wrecks my head I just don't think she is a good actress and on this show she is surrounded by a lot of really good actors.

I'm getting a strong Jodie Foster vibe from Rose Leslie's performance, especially her portrayal of Clarice from Silence of the Lambs.

    Different opinions on her performance.

Forgot about it been on More4 tonight.

I would tend to agree I think she is the weakest link on the show...i think its partially the accent is a bit of a strain...where is with Cush Jumbo the accent isnt a distraction at all (She is from London!)

I think what Maia has against her is that nearly the entire cast in The Good Fight are known to the audience from The Good Wife, so she's always starting off from an inferior narrative position. If anything, her character suffered from being underwritten (am speaking, having only seen season 1 so far BTW), with everyone, her own parents included, having more development, while she just seemed to orbit around other peoples' lives. She wasn't the only one, as Barbara, a named partner at the firm & you'd have thought a main character, barely ever got a look in

She has a perpetual flustered look and never looks confident. I agree the accent is under strain as well. I don't think she's a bad actress or anything; she was perfectly fine in GOT.

Another good episode, I'm glad the Maia and her Dad story arc isn't the main plot point. Good craic with Diane out of her box.

Really solid episode have to agree, I kinda wish I could binge this show all at once!

Another Good Wife character is going to have a guest arc.......
    Lemond Bishop
    :D

Another really good episode this week - something a bit different following the two stories linking into each other.
Cush Jumbo and Christine Baranksi in particular were excellent.

Fans of the Lethal Weapon Series might recognize her!

This has gotten so much better now that Maia and her story have been knocked down to a supporting role.

This week's episode was so good and keeps so many storylines going on and all really strong.

    Lucca & Marissa are awesome.

And Dinae tripping about Trump having sex every episode is also so good.

    Great fun that episode!
A bit more edgy than the good wife could ever be.

Love everything about this show, really look forward to my Sunday fix :D

    All the females characters.

The wardrobe is fab, but I thought that about the good wife too. Oh to have any of those outfits...a girl can dream!

Great episode this week, this season has been fantastic so far imo even better than the first, I think Maia is a lot less painful as a supporting character.
Really liked Colins mum too :)

The good wife had such gorgeous structured outfits. Everything was just spot on

Lucca overshadowed Alicia when she appeared in Good Wife, and the same has happened with Good Fight; she has bags more charisma & magnetism than Maia certainly, and glad to see the writers have realised this. Of course, Maia was kinda the lead-on character in this show so it's a bit odd to see her being slowly pushed out to the fringe. Hard to see what the point of her now is.

Another really good episode this week, even if there wasn't quite as much Elsbeth Tascioni as I was hoping for

That is only in Diane's drug addled mind.

    Really? How'd I miss that!

Another cracker of an episode. Also, does anyone else love the opening credits?

Am I missing some symbolism with the ott dramatics?

Yep..one of the best episodes yet. Laughed quite a lot during that one.

    Enjoyed that episode.
Entertaining, and a little bit subversive. :)

Also, does anyone else love the opening credits?

Have they changed the sequence since Series 1? They used to start with the credits/music/explosions, which is almost unusual these days. Most dramas seem to start out with an intro segment and then play the credits. But they went against the trend, with the credits/music first, which I thought was fairly brave.

But this season, they've switched it around, so they have an intro segment followed by the music/credits.

    I don't. It's about 90 seconds too long for me :)

It was great fun seeing three old The West Wing characters in the one show. Alan Alda played Senator Arnold Vinick and we also had both the Vice Presidents together in the same lift.

And funnily enough, they seem to have switched back now (Democrat party audition episode - More4 timing) to having the credits right at the very start, like series 1.

I honestly never noticed Gary Cole in the West Wing, or else I had completely forgotten. Who's the 3rd WW character?
