If the snow that's hit here overnight is headed towards Dublin it could make for a miserable enough match!

My bloody flight better be going ahead!!
Saturday's supposed to be very mild: 10-12 degrees with sunny spells and occasional showers.

First Thornleys line "presuming everyone else is fine and fit to go" and now the following from the Indo this morning:

"Johnny Sexton and Conor Murray will be cleared to play if they come through this morning's training session unscathed."

Normally I would read this kind of comment as being pretty innocuous and par for the course. But in the light of PJ's info it only heightens my anxiety. I cant help feeling that journalists like Thornley, O'Connor know something and are at pains to make these kind of equivocations and qualifying statements about fitness.

    Hopefully its just paranoia.

Conan back with Leinster. So Jordi to bench.

No sign of Larmour or McFadden for Leinster either. One or both may be involved

i see an easy Irish win honestly. by 15 points or more

Scotland produce nothing off their own ball. Last week was the organised chaos they needed.
Schmidt floods the ruck and as Thornley remarked " the two man clear out is a non negotiable with joe".
They are rubbish away from home.
They played their cup final last week.
Murray flapping his arms for pens.
    Wayne Barnes .

I find ireland boring but they have a plan and they all stick on task and do it well.

Scotland will always let you down.

So it's good news and bad news. Jonny's playing but won't be taking the kicks, Big Dev will. The bad news is nobody told him it was the wrong ball.

You misunderstand. That's his injury, he's completely stuck in that stance, he's actually not moving there at all.

Keith Barry is a genuine magician. He's taught Keith Earls how to levitate.

real test for Lamour if he comes on

That's been the most stressful 16 hours of the year so far.

Interesting that Henderson benches, wonder is he fully fit. Ryan’s ascension has been extremley rapid in an Irish sense. Good team though, nice to have those selection choices.

Delighted with the team. We're going to put the squeeze on up front it appears and then have someone like Henderson to come in after 50 minutes and rip into them. Line out and mauls on the way.

Very happy with the bench changes.

Joe said that fitness was not an issue - Toner gives more balance, Henderson more impact off the bench in the final 20.

McFadden makes way for Lamour. Good call I think.

    Chomsky(2017) on the Republican party

"Has there ever been an organisation in human history that is dedicated, with such commitment, to the destruction of organised human life on Earth?"
