    The files have to be released in full by the 26th of April. I doubt they be anything useful in them now they are tampered with but we can still hope;)

    If there were death bed confessions at this stage, that information would never be released to the public, as it would undermine the credability and authority of the state. They have stood by the lie for 50 years, they are not about to do a u-turn.

    55 years now and theres been nothing. Not one piece of credible evidence. A lot more serious stuff has come out, details on LBJs illegal war in Vietnam, and Nixons,, Watergate, Iran/Contra, Trump/Russia, pissing on hookers etc.

    Rogue agents of the CIA involved in the killing of a popular president of the United States is not something the authorities would like to broadcast.

    They kicked up a big fuss last year to stop the files coming out as is, so the CIA and FBI were obviously worried about something in those files.

    If Oswald was a nut on his own they would not care.

    “I agree with the Archivist’s recommendation that the continued withholdings are necessary to protect against identifiable harm to national security, law enforcement, or foreign affairs that is of such gravity that it outweighs the public interest in immediate disclosure,” he added.

    Yeah would've liked to see them all. Ill let them sift through and see if theres anything in them. Seems a bit of mess though. A lot of the redacted files were already made public 20 years ago. But "released" yesterday, redacted with pages missing.

    This begs a few questions..

    1. It would undermine the credibility and authority of the state, how? Most of these would be people should be dead by now. The Democrats have zero problems undermining the Republicans of today, why would they protect those of 55+ years ago, and vice versa?

    2. They have stood by what lie? Explain what the lie is exactly, and a full list of names involved. A vague made-up answer to that doesn't count for obvious reasons.
