Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Eistech have always treated their employees really bad, what more would you expect of such a company. I hope no one working there gets hurt going home.

Exact same hours as Bausch & Lomb, the mighty dollar speaks.....

To be fair to the companies they are only going on when a red alert is announced B&L and Eistech probably have well over 2000 employees between them thats a lot of people to pay for a snow day,the roads in the city arent bad now but who knows whats going to happen in the next few days they might have to stay closed for longer than anticipated.

many of the roads are lethal enough now, they ll more than likely be much worse tomorrow and on friday. it would be best if everyone closed now until maybe saturday. having people move around now is simply dangerous.

Just knock on a few neighbours doors and you'll find someone who's bought 8 loaves of bread and half a fruit & veg department.

Im worried about the eistex employees that stand around outside smoking and throwing their fag ends on the ground, they could get frost bite

Please tell me Eistech is closed today and tomorrow?

What are the main roads like? Just curious, I'm not moving until the thaw.

Probably not. They have a notorious name all over the country as an absolute scumbag of an employer and the way they treat their staff is appalling, from denying holidays to expecting people to work unpaid overtime etc etc.

If any of them had an ounce of common sense they would tell then to fcuk off if asked to work today and/or tomorrow.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,071 ✭✭✭Finnbar01

It's absolutely so quite out. I remember when I was young we had to be drag in from it.

A lot of places are planning on reopening tomorrow around 1 - 3pm but I'd say that will change tonight/early tomorrow morn, places will be lethal tomorrow.

The blanket of snow will cover the beautiful collage of chewing gum stuck to the ground that their employees have created outside the building from spitting it from their gobs as they go to work

Where roughly are you in the city? Where I am doesn't seem to have done much since about 9pm.

Easily 2 - 3 foot in my garden/neighbours garden at the moment in somerville in Tramore.

Bout foot of snow outside my place. Dunmore road well covered and its still coming down heavy. Forecast was pretty spot on in fairness.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,803 ✭✭✭lertsnim

Saw some dope in a corsa barely moving down the road. Wheels not even visible.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,452 ✭✭✭jmcc

Dunmore road seems well covered. Over two feet or so in drifts. Almost 1982ish but not quite yet.
