I really really dislike that bellend they have with the Dublin accent coming out with 'quirky' lines about Nova and the different shows etc. during ad breaks..

Just going through the "Backstage With Sinéad Ní Mhórdha" stuff on the Nova site. There's some really great interviews there. Such a shame they got rid of her......she was a great presenter and interviewer.

Clearly couldnt afford her...you get a Ruth and a Colm for the price of a Sinead these days...she knew her rock, so didnt really fit the job requirement...:p

I only listen in the mornings for the traffic updates. It's very rare that they play music that fits the concept of the station when they got the licence. It's just spin fm with a wider timeline they pull music from.

Switch to Dublin City FM if you're in the big schmoooke live traffic, decent tooons and no teenagers hosting morning glory.

Amen to that. Great service and the best music since Phantom closed.

Thought the music was getting better for a while but then this week Pat Courtenay played bleedin Uncle Cracker! He must have been forced to. He quickly moved through the songs that he played after it.

This is water. Inspiring speech by David Foster Wallace https://youtu.be/DCbGM4mqEVw?si=GS5uDvegp6Er1EOG

And throw in more and more and more baby talk on Morning Glory, that's why I tune into Dublin City FM now.

What is the coverage like on it? Will it reach me out in the wilds of north Kildare?

I tend to lose it near Kilmeague... could just be a black spot never really investigated.

I'd love to say it's "Six Years" by Gallows, but I think they're a bit too heavy for the average Nova listener. But in my option they are one of the loudest and best bands is the best UK music scene. Pity Frank Carter left but at least he is still making music with the Rattlesnakes :-)
