He is a class act. He really makes Sunday mornings bearable.

Wish the rest of the djs had the freedom of choice in music that he has. Most of them have to play from a list.

Do they even mention that it's a "Rock" station in their ad's and liners etc. anymore?

They don't do that anymore at all. Just heard Annie Lennox Walking on Broken Glass there, jesus wept.

What was the 'big' gig announcement this morning? They say that every week and it's never usually that big of an announcement.

No doubt it will be some cover band playing in the Academy... their "exclusive"... "big" announcements are rarely anything interesting

Has the volume on the news been very low for the last couple of days? Like, barely audible but the DJs/music volume is fine.

There have been major audio issues on the playout of network news this week.

It seems to be taking a long time to fix - listeners will simply switch to another station then listen to 6 minutes of muffled audio.

Hopefully it will be fixed asap - sure Groucho is on the case

Surely there is a breach in there somewhere. Nova is described "Radio Nova is a specialist classic rock music radio station".
They haven't been a classic rock station in years.......

It was never a classic rock station. It was a ruse from which to establish themselves. They quickly merged into the plethora of radio mulch in the wider Dublin region.

Which is a shame because they would stand out so much over all the other stations. Sadly they are becoming yet another pop/banter station.

Correct and they should fear becoming another 98 - 104 type offering. These Dublin stations are utterly dreadful and lacking any semblance of originality or talent or creativity. Nova should journey very far from this type of sludge and think hard as to whom it's trying to attract.

It's trying to attract revenue from advertising, unfortunately that means dumbing down the rock element to improve and keep the listenership high.
It's a shame but that's the way buisness goes.
As long as they keep throwing in odd classic it keeps them just slightly better than the rest.
    Sad but true :(

If thats the case they should have their license taken away...Planet rock plays the same ads as other stations, no rock element in any of their ads...Sky, British gas etc..
Nova should stop fooling their listeners and drop the "rock report" etc....
