It's only €28 in Argos and £22 on Amazon

Finally going back to thoroughly playing Mario Odyssey after more than a whole month of BotW.

Probably nothing at all (and highly unlikely) but GameStop in Santry have a Pokémon Switch case on the shelf with a "Pre-Order" stick and a release date of 24/06.

If only!!! If it does happen to come in 2018 I'd say they'd hold it for Christmas!

If you can afford it, get it today, do not wait. I have gamed more in the last 8 months than I can remember for years. It is quite possibly my favorite console ever already.

    Pay day tomorrow. :D

    It's a remarkable machine.
While Mario Odyssey is just stunning, I think of BotW almost in terms of a holiday location I went to last year.
"Remember when we went to Hyrule last year?"
"Remember from the ruined walls of the Central Plateau?"
"Here, see the photos I took of the beaches in Faron"
"Here's where I learned to ride a horse and fight with a sword"
"This is the time I rode on the back of a giant elephant guardian, took ages to work out the water puzzle!"

I love my Switch. It's portability is great, there is something very satisfying about playing Mario, Zelda, Golf Story on the sofa and then being able to pop it into the dock and continue on on a larger screen.

Mario is very good but i didn't enjoy it as much as I am enjoying Zelda.

90% of my time has been handheld.

Same story here. Mario Odyssey was definitely good, but I wasn't nearly as invested in it as BotW.

Mario Odyssey has the remarkable callback nature of it's overworld to that of Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine, which is great and all, but it's no where near as jaw droppingly incredible as Hyrule is on BotW, just amazing.

Odyssey is a great game and one of the best Mario games. But BOTW is just incredible, haven't felt so immersed in a game since OOT.

So I just got a Switch, though the majority of the library is not my cup of tea. Thinking about Doom and Skyrim, but the main game I'll be looking forward to is Wargroove and I'll probably pick up Tiny Metal too. I wish they'd make another Advance Wars....

Just started Doom yesterday. For the first hour I kind of regretted buying it and though I would hate it as precise aiming with the joycons in handheld mode is not happening for me (I tried different settings), so I was not enjoying the game.

And then I enabled the motion aiming option (which was conveniently added in yesterday's patch!) and I've started to enjoy it! It's not perfect but works well enough and is definitely more accurate.

Skyrim is ridiculous, playing on a portable Nintendo, and it is probably the best version outside of PC.

I'd prefer the Xbox One version as it has the best access to Mods which help that game

Apologies for asking as I’m sure it’s been mentioned plenty of times before but would anyone have a link to where I could contact Nintendo support here about the left Joycon issue, need to get it repaired as it’s happening too often now.

The Xbox version has better mod access than PC? Would love to know how that breaks down

Have it on Switch myself but probably won't play it too much, played Skyrim to death on PS3 and then did it all over again on PC.

That being said I never did manage to play through with a conjurer

No I said it was clearly the best version bar the PC one. PS4 version is limited as it doesn't allow any mods that use external assets & I think it allows about a quarter of the space allocated for the mods too.

I heard that the remastered versions were pretty broken in terms of in game menus and stuttering.

Yeah, I picked up Skyrim yesterday. Only put about 30 hours into it on the Xbox 360 when it first came out so I'll give it a proper go now on the Switch.

Would LOVE if they'd bring out Fallout 3 or New Vegas to it.

In there like swimwear. Played the game like a religion for a few years (themed run-throughs, scouring the wasteland etc) so any excuse to go back would be welcome. If the rumours are through, we'll get Fallout 4 first though. I've never played it (never had a PC good enough) so I'd be pretty happy to shell out for it.

I loved fallout 4 on the xbox one, one of the only xbox one games I really got in to. Then it just froze on the loading screen and never worked again :(

Fallout 4 is a great game but I don't think they'd get it running on Switch. It runs badly on the XB1/PS4 at the best of times - due to the incredibly high CPU demands. Just reducing graphics wouldn't be enough for the Switch, I don't think the CPU would be up to it at all unless Bethesda put enormous work in optimising the engine....which I can't see them doing just for the Switch.

I would say that out of Fallout 3, New Vegas and 4 that 4 is the weakest game.

New Vegas with all its DLC would be perfect imho.

Fallout 3 was far and away the best Fallout game.
